Accountable to help set the future direction of the US Investment product offering by providing proactive research, insight and innovative solutions that align with the strategicplans of John Hancock/Manulife's Retail, Institutional, and Retirement channels
Identify market, industry and competitor trends & assess/communicate how they impact our investment product platform; develop and implement strategic initiatives to benefit from these trends through,
In depth analysis of market trends that feed into both Retail, Institutional and Retirement channels,
Tracking the evolving regulatory landscape and developing insights on the implications to our strategic orientation and new market opportunities
Analyzing the competitive landscape including; customer needs, market sizing and competitive/comparative advantage to alternative solutions
Fostering a climate of innovation leading to the development of new investment products, new concepts and new product approaches
Ability to dig deep into a specific product structure or offering to develop strategic business cases for product ideas including; client needs identification, market sizing, competitive
positioning, product design, financial benefits/costs, distribution strategy and unique risks and present the findings to senior management and potentially the Board of Trustees
Work closely with key organization stakeholders in Asset Management, Sales, Marketing, Legal, Compliance and Finance
Accountable to ensure the proper oversight model is established for new WAM US investment product structures
Partner with Global Product & WAM US counterparts as the voice of the US product team to ensure a consistent coherent product strategy, vision and messaging
Lead and provide strategic direction on Global Product Initiatives
Responsible for engaging US, Canadian, Asian and European counterparts of the Global Investment Product team to facilitate dialogue on analysis, trend spotting, market dynamics to develop innovation opportunities
