About the Team

The Public Markets Operations division is responsible for providing operational support for Global Public Markets Strategies and investments. With a diverse mix of equities, fixed income, and derivatives, the team supports the investment lifecycle for a wide spectrum of products. The division is responsible for maintaining the investment book of record, providing quality service to investment management teams, and supporting agency strategic initiatives.

The Investment Operations Analyst is responsible for providing trade support for internal investments, implementing new strategies/instruments, and providing operational support for traders and portfolio managers.

Position Overview

Essential activities:

• Support timely and accurate trade processing of internally traded investments. Support internal investments on the order management system, integrated allocation/confirmation platforms, and investment book of record.

• Responsible for trade enrichment, reference data, trade affirmation/confirmation, fail management, and counterparty communication.

• Serve as operational support for internal trading desk and portfolio managers.

• Support onboarding of new counterparties, accounts, strategies, and investments. Support transitions, rebalances, and position monitoring.

• Serve as operational support for organizational strategic initiatives, including deploying new technology and enhancing investment capabilities.

• Oversee third-party service providers. Evaluate service level agreements, assist in analyzing complex issues, and implement resolutions.

• Monitor and stay abreast of industry best practices and regulatory changes/events impacting operations, trading, and investment products.

The ideal candidate:

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or equivalent experience.

• At least 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or related industry.

• Prefer experience with Simcorp Dimension and Charles River

• Experience in a variety of asset classes including equities, fixed income, futures, FX, and swaps.

• Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to be adaptive and thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.

• Superb work ethic, attention to detail, team orientation, and commitment to excellence.

The position requires U.S. work authorization.

Pursuant to our Hybrid Remote Work Policy, all staff have the flexibility to work remotely, but are required to have a weekly presence in our offices, the frequency of which is dependent on their distance from office. Staff are not required to reside locally; however, we offer relocation reimbursement to the Dane County area per our policy.
