Investment Operations Analyst

The mission of the Investments Department is to responsibly manage JM Family's investable assets through adherence to a rigorous process, building strong relationships, and promoting an intellectually stimulating collegial environment to ensure long-term value creation for all JM Family Stakeholders.

The Investment Operations Analyst is an integral part of the nine-member Investments Team, involved in managing hedge funds, private equity, and public investment mandates.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for day-to-day investment operational activities including conducting cash reconciliations with custodian reports, processing investment-related transactions and wires (capital calls/distributions/other), and conducting trade reconciliations and investment valuations for all existing investments

• On a timely and accurate basis, complete monthly investment reconciliations, accounting reporting, portfolio management reporting, and performance reporting

• Investment Reports Mailbox and Manager portal information: responsible for timely and accurate processing of manager reports and maintaining an efficient document management system

• Maintain investment files and responsible for manager communication concerning wire instructions and other related activities

• Perform reconciliation of transactions, valuations, and investment returns with investment managers, custodian bank, and portfolio management systems, resolves all discrepancies

• Complete performance and market value updates within the portfolio management system and track other quantitative and qualitative data fields for all investments

• Coordinate execution of new investments' legal agreements and complete subscription agreements and other documents as needed

• Maintain a current legal documents pipeline for new and existing investments

• Manage onboarding of new investments to ensure they are accurately included in all internal systems and relevant terms are tracked

• Responsible for completing data requests and other deliverables with respect to the Audit Process

• Monitor investment manager compliance with investment guidelines and maintain exceptions reporting for JM&A

• Coordinate cash flow activities for all investment portfolios

• Maintain manual of standard operating procedures and processes

• Identify and drive process improvements in areas of performance reporting, portfolio accounting, corporate close information, and interactions with custodian

• Collaborate with the Accounting team on day-to-day operations and implementation of best practices

• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly investment reconciliation and performance reporting ensuring accuracy by comparing custodian and manager statements

• Manage reporting/information requests from Corporate Departments such as but not limited to Accounting, Tax, and Treasury

• Responsible for manager onboarding including completing legal reviews, subscription documents, side letters, and contracts relating to new and existing investments (in conjunction with the Investments team, and internal and external legal counsel)

• Complete ad hoc projects assigned to increase operational efficiency in the Investment Department

• Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of related investment operations management / analytical experience

• Strong sense of teamwork

• Solid project planning experience

• Exceptional knowledge of MS Office Products including but not limited to Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Excel, MS Teams Files, OneNote, Shared group Outlook Calendar, and Mailbox
