J.P. Morgan is the leader in Liability Management in the high grade and high yield space, for clients across industries and geographies.
As an Associate in Liability Management, you will be part of a team responsible for structuring and executing bond portfolio optimization trades for our corporate and financial clients. You will build and apply complex financial models to advise clients on various liability management products. You will also provide strategic advice to clients around mergers, demergers, and spins offs in the context debt restructuring. You will work with various deal teams across the investment bank, including capital markets, corporate finance, sales and trading and M&A to provide clients with a comprehensive recommendation. You will function as fully integrated team member, in a flat structure that allows for direct client interaction and working directly with MDs, EDs, and VPs. You will be an integral part of the Liability Management team where team members rely on Associates to drive processes including deal executions and pitching.
Job Responsibilities:
Assist the team with creating pitch materials
Monitor liability management opportunities for our clients
Participate in the structuring and execution of liability management transactions
Liaising with multiple parts of the banks, as well as external parties such as issuers, counsels, third party agents
Build quantitative debt liability management models and maintain key materials such as databases
Develop specific knowledge of the various liability management tools available to issuers
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
3 years of capital markets, or investment banking or related experience
Experience with debt products / bond math
Strong financial modeling, finance, quantitative and business writing skills
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
Impeccable communication skills with ability to effectively interact with senior professionals, clients and key stakeholders in other lines of business
Comfortable working in a high pressure environment, possessing superior organizational skills and ability to efficiently multi-task across various deliverables
