Global Investment Control directly supports Capital Group's Investment professionals, helps implement investment decisions and facilitate the investment process. Operating from locations in North America, Europe, and Asia, core functions include order management, portfolio construction and compliance, trade support, corporate action communication and coordination, and proxy services, among others. These services support the management of equity and fixed income portfolios for retail, institutional and private clients.
As an Analyst based in Los Angeles, your role will support the Investment Committee and Business Operations for Investment Operations. You will ensure our investment committees operate in a streamlined manner. You will participate in projects that impact the investment process and decision making at Capital Group's senior business level. You will coordinate and support management functions within investment operations and utilize your expertise to advance process improvements and automation efforts.
Research and produce analyses for complex inquiries from the Investment Group, Portfolio Coordinating Groups, Policy Committee, and our Corporate Board
Coordinate the Investment Committee meetings; develop agendas, provide materials, track progress, etc.
Serve as the central point of contact for our Equity Portfolio Manager team changes and disclosures, while ensuring that progress is made within appropriate timeframes
Organize and monitor the Fund Review process across all equity investment divisions
Perform standardized and functionalized business operations activities for Investment Operations; resource changes, quarterly metrics, deadline completions, analyze data, highlight issues, etc.
Bachelor's degree required
3+ years in analytical role within the investment management industry
Strong technical skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Tableau
Polished communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences
A passion to innovate, drive change, and effectively manage projects
Willingness to take risks and challenge the status quo
Ability to achieve results in a fast paced, dynamic environment
A desire to continuously learn, with the ability to self-assess and continuously evolve
