Meeder Investment Management (Meeder) is a Dublin, Ohio-based asset management firm with over $30 billion in assets under management and advisement. Meeder offers a wide variety of financial solutions, including Mutual Funds, Separately Managed Accounts, Cash Management and Retirement Plan Solutions. The firm's affiliates include three registered investment advisors, a limited purpose broker-dealer, a transfer agency, and the Meeder Funds mutual fund family.

The ideal candidate will expand the Public Funds by identifying prospects, analyzing portfolios and developing strategies for closing new business throughout California and neighboring states. Requirements for this role include residing on the West Coast, preferably in California. The main focus of this position will be business development within the public sector.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Expand the Public Funds Division

  • Coordinate information flow between clients, staff, operations and investments.

  • Analyze various investment options to identify and propose optimal investment solutions.

  • Coordinate preparation of reports, presentations, proposals and other written communication.

  • Regular networking through attendance at conferences and other municipal events.

  • Educate clients and prospects on current market events and investment opportunities.

  • Support and develop sales, marketing and service initiatives and activities.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics or related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in the public sector/municipal finance, banking, investment management, or financial services arena, demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility.

  • CFP, CFA, CMT or other professional designation or candidacy is a plus.

  • Strong working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Primary Responsibilities: * Grow our business strategically by cultivating of new wealth management client business. * Deliver and build consistent message to potential clients that properly reflects Meeder Wealth Management's history of serving clients over 45 years. * Establish sales and new revenue forecasting on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis. * Consistently and accurately manage information within the CRM software platform. * Collaborate with other members of the firm in marketing to new client prospects, as well as client transition for ongoing service. * Share expertise to effectively grow and enhance other team members business development capabilities. * Keep abreast of current industry developments and maintain high level of understanding of the wealth management industry. Skills Required: * 5+ years of financial advisory experience. * Bachelor's degree in finance, economics or a related field. * FINRA General Securities Representative license (Series 7), and FINRA Uniform Investment Adviser Law Exam (series 65) * CFP, CHFC designation preferred (completed or in progress).
