Job Description:

Performs investigative research in the particular area(s) of study and publishes and presents data in a timely manner. Collaborates with other Investigators and Scientists in facilitating scientific research. Participates in various types of institute and community activities.

Responsibilities Include:
1.Oversees a research program and ensures research is carried out according to the study terms, conditions and Institute policies.
2.Conducts independent research and/or development work.
3.Applies for grant funding and/or patents as appropriate.
4.Ensures collection and analysis of research data.
5.Submits manuscripts and abstracts for publication/presentation.
6.Performs a variety of tasks including, but not limited to, correspondence, attending meetings, database maintenance, maintaining records, charts, and other responsibilities.
7.Ensures other activities, clinical and administrative, are completed.
8.Supervises and/or provides technical direction to research staff.
9.Performs related duties, as required.


  • Doctorate (M.D. or Ph.D.) Degree, required.

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of related work experience, required.

  • Authored/co-authored published articles and/or abstracts as determined by the Appointments and Promotions Committee of the Feinstein Institute for Medical Research, required.

  • Internationally/ nationally recognized in area of specialty.

  • Ability to communicate effectively.

The responsibility of a Company Investigator is to conduct a prompt, thorough, and fair investigation comprising background research, investigative interviews, and de-brief meetings in partnership with Employment Law, Security, HR Business Partners, Internal Audit, and the business. The key to success in this role will be the ability to work effectively across geographical and cultural boundaries with an ability to discern systemic issues revealed during the investigative process. This requires a high degree of empathy balanced against an ability to provide direct feedback and confront witnesses with difficult information. Investigators must be able to articulate issues to the business in the form of findings and conclusions, so that long-term solutions can be developed and applied. Additionally, Company Investigators will work closely with the Learning and Development team to develop and deliver compliance education programs and trainings designed proactively to address workplace issues. RESPONSIBILITIES * Partner with Employment Law, Security, HRBPs, Internal Audit, and businesses to conduct a prompt, thorough, and fair investigation Manage investigations end-to-end, including intake meetings, background research, investigative interviews, and debrief meetings with leadership Remain respectful and diplomatic in the face of difficult and uncomfortable situations surrounding an investigation Ability to easily develop trust and rapport and influence partners and business leaders Help to develop long-term solutions for systemic issues Ability to travel at least 20 - 30% MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * 5+ years of experience handling internal company investigations within Employee Relations or Human Resources Facilitation and training experience Formal training in Investigations PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Employment Law experience Able to conduct an investigation that will withstand cross-examination in multiple jurisdictions without being pedantic or prosecutorial Relationship management experience in a cross-functional environment across global teams Facebook is committed to providing reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities and disabled veterans in our job application procedures.
