The Role:

The Investigation Analyst is responsible for responding to security incidents, investigating security matters, and collecting information regarding threats to the company. The role will assist the Investigators to deploy and sustain an enterprise-wide strategy for both investigative resource optimization and procedures in addition to operational effectiveness. The role will work to maintain a proactive, operational and business aligned culture and approach to Tesla Global Investigations.

The Investigation Analyst will use CCTV systems and Access Control Systems in support of sensitive investigations related to Tesla's interests, globally. The Investigation Analyst will produce a comprehensive report to the Investigator in support of an investigation by deploying critical thinking and resolve challenges in this agile and complex Tesla environment.


  • The Investigation Analyst will contribute to investigations by collecting information such as validating whether the reported incident occurred, when it occurred, who was involved, and any potential witnesses or any other pertinent details. The Investigations Analyst will work closely with Investigators to produce reports and package information in a manner that will enable Tesla management to make informed decisions. The Investigation Analyst will report to the Manager Global Investigations.

  • The Investigation Analyst will comply with company policies regarding the use of Tesla's systems such as CCTV, Badge access systems and any other tools deployed.

  • The Investigation Analyst is expected to communicate and collaborate in a professional manner in pursuit of investigation tasks. Investigation tasks include and are not limited to validating an incident occurred, identify the location and time and key parties involved while assessing and considering sets of information from other sources in support of the investigation. Communicate effectively at all levels of the company, including at the Executive level

  • The Investigation Analyst is tasked with securing and packaging the CCTV & other information in support of the investigation and other requirements determined by Legal Department. The Analyst will solve problems with data from multiple sources and make recommendations to leadership on the appropriate strategy to address issues.

  • The Investigation Analyst will monitor for and report any mal-functioning CCTV devices and devices requiring repositioning, adjustment or maintenance.


  • Advanced computer skills; should be thoroughly familiar with Microsoft Office or equivalent software packages; use of screen capture software and video playback software.

  • Strong experience, familiarity, and knowledge with CCTV and Security/ badge access systems.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Produce professional reports suitable for dissemination to senior leadership, legal counsel and outside law enforcement detailing investigative and operational results

  • Able to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, and focusing on critical priorities with little or no supervision. Able to organize and prioritize work assignments without requiring close supervision.

  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.

  • Evidence of exceptional ability

  • Must be able to view monitors and sit or stand for at least 8 hours per shift and or work flex hours.
