SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Must be available for daily call periods as assigned by Manager/Lead. This person will be required towork in a lockdown facility due to the high dollar value of the inventory.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Required to load and unload trucks, including wheel trucks and empty trash dumpsters asneeded.

  • Must be able to operate all shop equipment.

  • Receives, issues, and transfers material using the on line BOL and Amtrak's InventorySystem, SAP.

  • Restocking Supply Pro Vending machine as needed and creating material transfers forsupplies.

  • Responsible for accurate cycle inventories as well as daily inventory and communicatingany discrepancies. Will also be involved with root cause analysis on inventorydiscrepancies.

  • Process Warranty material through Amtrak's SAP & SAGE software, including contactingvendor for RMA documentation for proper reconciliation.

  • Communicate and assist with inventory and delivery of bulk containers of car wash soap.When instructed, contact vendors when delivery is needed.

  • Must maintain neat and clean work area.

  • Adhere to facility Safety Policy.

  • Must be forklift qualified and have a valid unrestricted driver's license.

  • Must have valid Chauffer's driver's license.

  • Must be able to lift 50lbs

  • Will work in office and warehouse as needed

  • Complete other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with warehouse forklift

  • Experience with Electric pallet jacks

  • Shipping and Receiving tools Crimpers, etc.

  • Knowledge and experience with receiving stocking and packaging procedures.

  • SAP Warehouse Management Software application for managing inventory experience

  • Safety and Security knowledge and experience in a lock down Materials WarehouseFacility.

  • Amtrak Material Control Department experience.

HOURS:

Work Hours: Mon-Fri 3pm-11pm

Rest days: Saturday & Sunday

COMMUNICATION AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

The hourly rate is $25.54 - $34.05 (with opportunity for increases, as per the applicable collective bargaining agreement, after beginning employment).
