Create reports and alerts as necessary to enhance the performance of Inventory Control, Store Design, and Purchasing. Analyze areas above to see if additional reports/alerts need to be utilized to make each area more efficient.

Perform specialized analysis to support maximizing sales and improving inventory efficiencies. Strive to continually improve reporting systems and analysis capabilities for supported departments. This analyst position will heavily utilize SQL to do research and analysis.

This position will utilize Microstrategy, Excel and other reporting tools, to provide actionable reports to the various departments mentioned above. Additionally, this position will help lead software integration efforts, including definition of integration needs, project management, change management, and mentoring/training of other end users.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Provide advanced data summary, analysis, and guidance for various departments listed above.

Create additional reports/alerts/dashboards as needed to support departmental needs.

Assist in pinpointing critical areas needing to be addressed through advanced reporting.

Research and seek out new potential data sources that could be utilized to enhance reporting for supported departments and processes.

Work with Information Systems to automate reporting and leverage software tools (i.e. Microstrategy, Dossier, Teamnet applications, Macros, Domo, etc) to reduce repetition in issuing reports.

Extract information from data repositories to provide insight into areas needing focus or opportunities.

Create additional reports as directed by Sr. Vice President of Inventory Management, Inventory Management Director, or Inventory Control Systems Manager.

Lead software integration and deployment projects.

Ability and willingness to fill the role of project manager on software integration projects - up to and including tracking tasks, typing minutes, and coordinating the project as needed.

Establish and provide training documentation as needed.

Prepare and deliver training to end users in classroom or one on one setting.

Research and document current state and future state and also define integration points for software.

Work with end users from various departments to establish and connect processes.

Help define and support technical and process integration for various software packages used by Inventory Management teams including but not limited to: Floor planning, space planning, Forecast and Replenishment, SCORE as well as home grown and proprietary applications.

Maintain data recovery software as it pertains to Inventory Control.

SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES

Required:

Ability to research current state process and system functions and translate to future state needs.

Ability to work with multiple end users, management, contractors, and consultants as needed to define systems and processes.

Strong analytical, quantitative and problem solving skills with ability to analyze and organize large amounts of raw data.

Understanding of basic database concepts.

Strong SQL ability and skills to write and amend SQL queries and reports to access complex data sources.

Understanding or ability to learn and support Microsoft Excel Macros developed in Visual Basic

Advanced level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

Attention to detail with high level of accuracy.

Ability to identify opportunities for improvement.

Ability to successfully function in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.

Excellent customer service skills.

Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

Ability to present complex information in an understandable and compelling manner.

Must convey a positive and professional image.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Desired:

Some college or vocational training with emphasis on administrative assistant, business, and communication skills.

Microstrategy and Dossier experience; Experience creating visual reports and helping users understand best reports for needed analysis.

3-5 years office experience.

Experience in Automotive Retail or Service Industries.

Experience with VBA or VB programming.
