Job Description

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Sr Site Specialist. What will you do?

  • Use inventory/order management electronic systems to perform on-site program replenishments and disbursements, receiving, put-away, stock rotation, cycle counts, order entry and expediting, customer service call resolution, product returns, and backorder processing.

  • Follow well-defined procedures as outlined by Best Practices, SOP's & work instructions.

  • Independently make decisions and use available resources to meet customer requirements.

  • Analyze, maintain, and reconcile various customer and Thermo Fisher reports to ensure customer and company requirements are met.

  • Demonstrate proficiency at capturing, presenting, and explaining job or site-specific performance metrics.

  • Communicate with supervisor any customer issues or potential problems.

  • Promote personal growth and development by staying abreast of new policies and improvements.

  • Listen to customer concerns, effectively diffuse dissatisfaction, and quickly identify a course of action with a goal of first call resolution within established turnaround times.

  • Work effectively with a diverse cross-functional team.

  • Embrace Practical Process Improvement (PPI) methodologies.

  • Positively represent Thermo Fisher Scientific at all times throughout customer locations.

  • Perform other tasks as needed.

How will you get here?

  • High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.

  • 2 years of related experience in inventory management or within a laboratory setting is preferred.

  • Experience working in customer service is also a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Able to read, write, and speak English.

  • Displays a high level of confidentiality for both customers and Thermo Fisher Scientific.

  • Must maintain Thermo Fisher Scientific's Four-I Values.

  • Must have one to three years of progressive proven experience.

Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:

  • Must possess a strong desire to serve the customer, and the interpersonal skills to deal with various levels of personnel at the customer site.

  • Must deliver excellent customer service to include maintaining a professional appearance at all times.

  • Possess the operating skills to use computers and learn to enter data in various systems as needed.

  • Must possess the organizational skills to multi-task and meet customer requirements as needed.

  • Must be proficient with a computer and the Microsoft Office suite of software.

Working Conditions:

  • Works primarily at customer sites, which may require independent work.

  • Work areas may include spaces where chemical-based allergens are in use.

  • Requires the ability to lift, push, and pull 30-40 pounds consistently; may be required to lift 50 pounds occasionally.

  • Able to work overtime as required.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $21.42-$32.13.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
