Purpose
The purpose of the role is to provide visibility and communication to internal customers regarding production schedules, receiving roadblocks and warehouse related quality issues. The Inventory Specialist acts as a liaison between Ravago's business units and the tactical warehousing and inventory infrastructure. The objective of the role is to prompt action from all parties to secure smooth and accurate service to Ravago's internal departments while taking action to control costs
.
Areas of Responsibility / Tasks
Performance must reflect appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below.
i. Area of Focus (In order of percentage of time spent on activity, importance and/or priority)
a. Inventory Specialist must review, research and complete all complex receipts of incoming material from their assigned warehouses
b. Follows all varying receiving procedures required depending on the warehouse, vendor and form of transport. Analyzes Delivery/Overdue Purchase Order reports twice a day, resolving any open and past due order issues with the receiving warehouse and purchasing department.
c. Analyzes Open Pack Out/Open Transfers report twice a day to ensure the warehouses have maintained production schedule completion dates.
d. Analyzes and initiates Re-packs, Re-labels, Blends and Transfer work orders.
e. Analyzes submitted work order requests for warehouse suitability, provides quotes and anticipated timeframes for completion to corresponding departments.
f. Communicates work order requirements with appropriate warehouse and prioritizes production scheduling to meet customer shipment dates.
g. Removes roadblocks and provides creative problem-solving for alternate production services.
h. Updates internal customers with production schedule changes or delays, working to re-prioritize based on need.
i. Completes Packaging, Relabel, Blend, Pulverizing and Transfer work orders with the confirmed completion information and costs.
j. Researches inventory and receiving discrepancies concerning relevant warehouses, making sure all discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.
ii. Secondary Area of Focus (In order of percentage of time spent on activity, importance and/or priority)
k. Communicates any details of damaged material with the appropriate Product Manager/Coordinator or Logistics Coordinator to determine appropriate disposition.
l. Manages RGA returns and additional investigation for assigned warehouses in conjunction with the quality department.
j. Initiates Warehouse Claim creation, submittal to claim specialist and resolution
k. Initiates Carrier Claim creation and submittal to claim specialist.
l. Initiates, investigates, and completes Corrective Action Requests for assigned warehouses.
m. Responsible for the monthly or bimonthly completion of Book to Book reconciliation between assigned warehouses and internal end of month report.
n. Manages consignment customer transfer and purchase orders, while reconciling customer's reported inventory to the Stock Status Detail report.
o. All other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications/ Education / Experience / Certifications
1.Education:
a. A four-year college degree is desired or equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree.
2.Experience:
a. Minimum of 1-3 years of related Inventory experience is preferred
3.Licenses / Certifications:
a. Valid driver's license - required
4.Language:
a. Proficiency in English required
b. Fluency in Spanish is a plus
