ROLE SUMMARY

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for managing and overseeing the inventory at their designated retail location. Further, the Inventory Specialist is responsible for ensuring that merchandise and accessories are transferred out of their delivery hub to other stores within the region in a timely manner. The Inventory Specialist is expected to communicate merchandise, accessory, and supply needs with the Regional Manager, conduct inventory audits, and ensure an accurate inventory count. This role is responsible for ensuring the online ordering menu is accurate. The Inventory Specialist will provide support to the sales floor as part of the management team when needed. The Inventory Specialist maintains the highest level of presentation, customer service and compassion to all patients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receives and inputs new shipments into Biotrack

  • Labels and organizes inventory in vault to maximize space and efficiency

  • Ensures medicine and merchandise inventory is accurate and accounted for

  • Mitigates any inventory issues to resolve on IHeartJane or Biotrack when necessary

  • Reports and investigates any inventory discrepancies

  • Conducts and submits the End of Month Inventory Audit

  • Verifies that prices, percentages, and product information are accurate on website

  • Audits merchandise and accessories weekly

  • Communicate with the Regional Manager and General Manager on any merchandise or accessories requests for ordering

  • Coordinates with Regional Manager to allocate merchandise and accessory levels for each store across the region

  • Prepares store-to-store transfers of merchandise, accessories, uniforms, bags, and other supplies as needed

  • Responds promptly to order requests from other stores in the region

  • Ensures proper record keeping of all shipments and transfers (both inbound and outbound)

Assists as part of the management team with store opening, closing procedures, cash handling, and other managerial duties

  • Communicates any issues regarding the team, building, and operations to the General Manager

  • Trains team members on vault organization, FIFO practices, inventory receiving, and product returns process

  • Processes returns in Monday.com and Biotrack daily

  • Maintains organization of returned items (To Be Evaluated and To Be Destroyed)

  • Transfers all returns back to Tampa promptly at the end of each month

  • Packs customer express orders after team verification.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Leadership ability with at least 1-3 years of experience in a retail store setting

  • Previous experience with inventory

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to manage a team of staff members during normal business hours in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong people and presentation skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Flexible working hours based on business needs (long hours, weekends)

  • Ability to maintain and demonstrate a positive, problem-solving attitude at all times.

REQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent

PREFERRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Sales, Business, Management, Operations, or similar field

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Per state law, must be at least 21 years of age

Must successfully complete a comprehensive background check.

Must pass a drug screening

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has supervisory responsibility of the Curators (Sales Associates) responsible for.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in a professional store environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

The company will ask you to assist in other departments or locations depending on company needs. This means that you may not always work in the department that you were hired. Teamwork and getting product out to patients is our goal. This means helping where you are needed is crucial to your success as well as the company's success.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand at a workstation for extended periods; walk; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms and ability to work on iPad, laptop or desktop for extended periods of time reading, reviewing and analyzing information and providing recommendations and summaries to patients. Must be able to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing. Employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 25 pounds. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.

POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This position regularly requires long hours and frequent weekend work.

TRAVEL

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.

OTHER DUTIES

Inventory is not limited to duties above and may be part of additional projects for retail.
