THE POSITION: Inventory Planning Manager

We are looking to add an Inventory Planning Manager to our world class production team. The Inventory Planning Manager is responsible for the tactical execution of supply chain initiatives to support sales in our explosive business.


  • Enter and maintain purchase orders for inventory

  • Communicate with vendors to coordinate shipments and update purchase orders accordingly

  • Track all purchase orders with suppliers to ensure timely receipt of key product

  • Monitor and document late shipments and identify solutions to mitigate potential out-of-stock scenarios

  • Review and manage systems to generate exception reports, such as, late purchase orders and unfulfilled demand

  • Prioritize shipments with vendor and supplier partners

  • Manage all workroom receiving exceptions, working with appropriate cross functional teams to provide disposition

  • Work with QA and merchants on quality infractions to streamline replacement when applicable

  • Identify and take corrective action to overcome warehouse backorders or short-stocked positions before they occur

  • Develop and implement material usage and purchasing models

  • Partner with Product Development, Production Coordinators, and Fulfillment on special projects


  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum of five years of work experience

  • Experience developing and implementing inventory control models

  • Experience working with domestic and overseas suppliers

  • Experience with import processes and regulations

  • Excellent communication skills in dealing with suppliers and finding solutions to problems

  • Must be extremely organized, detail oriented with the ability to multi task in a deadline driven environment

  • Analytical approach identifying and analyzing problems providing actionable solutions

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must

  • Must have the ability to manage through change

  • Extremely proficient in MS Excel- filters, pivot tables, graphical data representation, overall data manipulation and presentation

  • Calm demeanor under pressure

  • Stellar people skills

  • Fabric knowledge a plus but not a requirement

Meets Rewards and KPI goals by reinforcing behaviors that support Check, Check, Match and the values of the company. Provides recognition and feedback to improve performance. Responds to customer feedback with a sense of urgency. * Associate and Team Development - Assists with the recruitment, hiring and on-boarding of associates. Helps identify and provide associate training, product and trend information. Provides feedback to management on associate performance. Communicates associate goals and provides developmental opportunities, feedback and coaching to support the growth of the company. Seeks opportunities for personal performance growth and demonstrates interest in building leadership skills. Assists with daily associate relations issues and annual performance review process. * Merchandising - Participates in and leads associates in merchandise placement, shipment processing and store recovery. Assists in the communication and execution of presentation standards that are consistent with brand image. Ensures store is compliant with established "Brand Experience" standards. Performs other duties as assigned by the Store Manager. * Operations - Ensures consistency in daily housekeeping. Ensures all inventory and pricing directives are implemented. Opens and closes store in rotation with management staff. Leads by example ensuring company policy and procedural compliance. Maintains Loss Prevention and Safety standards.
