About the Inventory Management Team
You will be part of the Inventory Planning organization is responsible for the strategic planning of inventory positions to drive sales, manage inventory turn and meet or exceed financial targets for your area of responsibility. Inventory associates are innovators, optimizers and problem solvers who are constantly seeking opportunities to move the business forward. You will collaborate with other business functions to support a product strategy intended to meet our customer's needs.
Overview of the Inventory Planner (Omni) role
The Inventory Planner (Omni) - WSI Brands is responsible for delivering a best-in-class customer experience through the strategic management of inventory for our Omni services including: Buy Online Pickup In Store (BOPIS), Buy Online Ship From Store (BOSFS) and Buy Online Ship to Store (BOSTS). This role will partner with multiple teams including Inventory, Merchandising, Distribution and IT to maximize sales, optimize inventory turn, and drive profitable growth by developing and executing strategies and standardized processes unique to each of the omni services.
Responsibilities
Review Corporate Open-To-Buy plans submitted by Inventory teams, and historical omni actuals to build store level forecasts for BOSFS and BOPIS so that stores are allocated enough labor hours in their budgets
Design inventory strategies for BOSFS to maximize sales while attempting to
(1) reduce stale/clearance inventory from stores
(2) reduce overall Backorders by identifying opportunities to leverage store inventory
Leverage historical data to identify key learnings around product, pricing, and inventory and apply learnings to future seasons.
Monitor store performance and coordinate with Store Ops partners to ensure customer orders are being serviced on-time with minimal delays
Review visual floor set plans to ensure appropriate representation of key-items and determine appropriate presentation minimums and safety stock requirements so that we do not sale into display quantities via Omni services
Operate a computer and communicate via telephone
Transport materials and equipment and lift, move, and carry objects up to 50 pounds on a limited basis
Criteria
Data driven individual with a curious, entrepreneurial mindset.
Minimum three years of experience in Inventory Management, preferably in an omni channel environment
Experience directly managing or mentoring one or more team members
Proven ability to objectively interpret data and extract actionable insights that drive the business
Proficiency in retail math and experience forecasting within a traditional open-to-buy
Excellent collaboration and communication skills; comfortable addressing all levels within an organization
Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
Ability to perform work onsite in the (San Francisco, Rocklin, Portland, New York, San Jose) office full-time pending state, local, and Company return-to-work guidance during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.

The expected starting pay rate for this position is $85,000. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to competitive pay, compensation may include a variety of other components like benefits, paid time off, merit, and bonus opportunities.
