JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for maintaining the supply network, pricing, quantity, accuracy, and availability of all parts inventory related to the maintenance shop network, as well as, execution of all warranty vendor relationships and internal company processes. The position is a hands-on member of the maintenance leadership team, advising the Maintenance Department leaders, Shop Leaders and parts personnel on key factors relating to inventory and warranty management. Proactively pursues continuous improvement initiatives; apply strong problem solving skills and analytical capabilities to identify warranty opportunities and negotiate resolution with OEM's and other vendors.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

INVENTORY:

  • Coordinate with shop leadership, maintenance associates, and the rest of the parts team to provide timely and accurate parts inventory to ensure an efficient maintenance operation

  • Identify primary vendors, in cooperation with the maintenance leadership team, and ensure they are used for the purchase of all parts

  • Develop parts SOP and ensure that all purchases and inventory decisions are in compliance with the established guidelines.

  • Accountable for purchases and returns. This includes training field parts personnel and ensuring that purchase orders are properly filled out and maintained and match the invoices provided by the local vendors

  • Company expert on the TMW inventory management system and any other system that may be developed which interfaces and affects the parts system. Ensure all work is prepared and executed in accordance with company guidelines

  • Manage and improve as needed inventory key factors

  • Lead all aspects of the inventory process to deliver maintenance budget and key factor performance goals

  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned

WARRANTY:

  • Accountable for the recovery of all warrantable costs incurred by the organization

  • Establish, train, implement, audit, and continuously improve a comprehensive and highly effective warranty program including: billing and recovery, vendor compliance, and shop compliance

  • Establish and lead warranty key factors development, refinement, and performance across all involved departments and functional areas

  • Conduct analysis of product failure using company data and OEM data to enable data-driven decision making regarding component specification and proactive component replacement

  • Lead development and implementation of new analysis models and warranty recovery methods to maximize warranty recovery and warrantable cost avoidance

  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • (3) years' experience managing inventory and/or warranty recovery

  • Strong analytical, written communication, verbal communication, and leadership

  • Associates degree required (Bachelor's degree preferred) Will consider equivalent, combination of related education and experience

  • Demonstrated successful applications of computer analysis tools (Excel, Access, SQL, etc)

  • Experience with TMW a plus

  • Up to 20% travel
