Summary: Responsible for providing the pharmacy with accurate tracking of all inventory quantities. Coordinates ordering and receiving medications and supplies from various wholesalers and distributors. Responsible for maintaining the automated fulfillment system.
High school diploma or GED required. Minimum one year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician required. Strong mechanical aptitude/experience required. Forklift operator certification and 1 year of experience preferred.
Certificates and Licenses:
Valid license, registration and/or certification, in good standing, to practice as a Pharmacy Technician as required by the Board of Pharmacy in the state employed.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Coordinates ordering, receiving, and stocking of medications and supplies from various wholesalers and distributors.
Verifies invoiced quantities and actual delivered quantities are correct.
Provides purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices to the Finance Department for payment in a timely and accurate order.
Responsible for understanding the work queue controller to manage workflow of the fulfillment system.
Update the fulfillment system to balance the line quarterly regarding the inventory and product movement.
Troubleshoot any issues with the automated fulfillment system and resolve as appropriate.
Works with vendors to troubleshoot, resolve and support the automated fulfillment system.
Will be the primary interface with the vendor's Customer Support and will coordinate all changes, fixes, and enhancements to the automated fulfillment system.
Sets and maintains inventory reorder points.
Monitors inventory levels and expiration dates to prevent overstock and expired medications.
Responsible for locating and slotting medications within the automated fulfillment system.
Coordinates the return of overstocked medications to wholesalers or vendors for credit.
Coordinates the return of expired medications and items for destruction to reverse distributor service for credit or destruction.
Assists in physical inventory counts of medications and supplies.
Reviews FDA and manufacturer recall notifications to remove and quarantine recalled medications and/or supplies and provides report to the Purchasing Department in a timely manner.
Generate reports for the Purchasing Department as required.
Assists in the fulfillment of prescriptions as needed.
Utilize the fulfillment system to assist with packaging and shipping as needed.
May utilize the forklift to transport items between loading, unloading, processing and storage areas.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft products. Must be familiar with Excel and understand how to run and export reports.
