Locations: Gallup, NM Type:Federal Salary Range:Per Year Open Period:6/28/2024 to 7/15/2024 Summary:To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

GS-7: Applicants must have successfully completed 1 full academic year of graduate education or law school or superior academic achievement

  • OR- must have 1 year of specialized experience that equipped me with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position. This experience is related to the work of the position and equivalent to at least the GS-05 level in the Federal service as described in the vacancy announcement.

    Examples include: With supervision, performs and determines the distribution and control of material in stock and positioning of supplies among the hospital supply area; work with procurement process and requirements for property and supplies. Working knowledge of one or more automated personal property/supply data base to enter, correct and retrieve recurring.

    GS-09: Applicants must have successfully completed 2 full academic years of progressively higher level graduate education or masters or equivalent graduate degree

  • OR- LL.B. or J.D. If related that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of this position.

  • OR- must have 1 year of specialized experience that equipped me with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position. This experience is related to the work of the position and equivalent to at least the GS-07 level in the Federal service as described in the vacancy announcement.

    Examples include: working with personal property management program and applying inventory management principles, concepts, and methodologies; working with procurement of supply requirements that are complex in nature due to the diversity of the needs of a major hospital. Working with requisitions, policies, procedures, or other instructions relating to the specific functions assigned. Working knowledge of one or more automated personal property/supply data base(s) to enter, correct, and retrieve recurring reports, to structure/retrieve specialized reports; develop and implement service-wide personal property management procedures, and systems to implement the administration of acquisition, dispositions, economical and efficient utilization, custody, maintenance and accountability processes for inventory and equipment Combining Education and Experience:

    Equivalent combination of successfully completed education and specialized experience directly related to the work of the position as outlined above that meets the requirements of the position. Only education in excess of the first year (18 semester hours) may be used to qualify applicants for the GS-09 level. NOTE: a copy of your transcript is required.

    Graduate Education: One year of full-time graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full-time study. If that information cannot be obtained from the school, 18 semester hours should be considered as satisfying the 1 year of full-time study requirement.

    Part-time graduate education is creditable in accordance with its relationship to a year of full-time study at the school attended. For certain positions covered by this standard, the work may be recognized as sufficiently technical or specialized that graduate study alone may not provide the knowledge and skills needed to perform the work. In such cases, agencies may use selective factors to screen out applicants without actual work experience.

    Time In Grade Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
