You will support end-to-end logistics (physical flows from plants to customers), including all warehouse, transport and co-packing operations, in terms of service, cost, health and safety, quality, food defense, sustainability, legal requirements and policies compliance. You will provide team leadership and direction for the logistics organization. In this role, you will implement logistics strategy and effectively execute operations to ensure optimum logistics solutions while supporting various routes-to-market, and balancing service and cost. You will work collaboratively with internal and external (third-party logistics vendors) business partners to ensure effective management, timely solutions and execution.

How you will contribute

You will:

  • Be accountable for warehouse, transportation, international logistics (import/export) and co-packing operations

  • Ensure the implementation of the business plan by delivering a consistent service level, adapting the supply chain to the demanding and changing customer environment and ensuring sufficient operational capacity to deliver business needs

  • Be accountable for delivering logistics operational cost budget, ensuring that best-in-class controls and governance are in place

  • Foster, initiate and lead continuous improvement programs that reduce cost and our carbon footprint and improve the service performance of the operation

  • Ensure successful project implementation

  • Select, manage and develop long-term relationships with third-party service providers

  • Ensure adherence to health and safety, quality, food defense and legal requirements and policies

  • Establish a business continuity plan for logistics operations.

  • Support best-practices sharing and adoption

  • Solid background in logistics with experience leading operations in an FMCG/CPG environment

  • Team leadership experience, with proven ability to build effective teams and develop people

  • Strong collaboration skills with strong business and financial acumen and the ability to forge senior level strategic partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders

  • Strategic thinking plus excellent presentation, communication, influencing and motivational skills

  • Strong negotiating skills with ability to negotiate in tough situations with both internal and external groups

What you need to know about this position:

This position plays a critical role and will be focused on execution of business and logistics operations readiness for key distribution network transformation projects included in NA Strategic Plan 2022-2024.

What extra ingredients you will bring:

Knowledge/experience in supply planning, inventory deployment / network fulfillment, and logistics operations (transportation & warehousing).

Project management skills: planning complex sets of activities, organizing and coordinating diverse teams working in different locations, identifying critical paths and sequencing work to ensure deliverables and milestones.

Analytical skills: working with complex sets of data, organizing information for decision making, selecting best among several options.

Education / Certifications:

B.S. in supply chain related field (industrial engineering, transportation, logistics, operations management, etc.).

APICS certifications desirable

L6S, green-belt/black-belt certifications desirable

SAP APO certification desirable

Supply chain guru / Llamasoft experience is a plus

Job specific requirements:

English fluent

Computer/IT capability (Microsoft tools, virtual meetings tools).

Working remotely

Travel requirements:

20% to 50% of the time depending on projects and stages of implementation

Work schedule:

Regular weekday office hours (Mon-Fri).

Key Responsibilities * Helps drive a positive customer experience by building relationships, exhibiting empathy, and providing solutions for their needs. * Receives and documents physical product from trucks (Best Buy Supply Chain and External Carrier) following processes outlined in Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). * Prepares and documents physical product shipments from the store to specified destinations as outlined in SOP * Operates equipment according to company safety standards to assist in moving product. * Completes daily replenishment to ensure product is fully stocked on the sales floor. * Executes process outlined in SOP when product variances are identified. * Ensures products are properly secured to reduce store shrink. * Provides back up to the Planogram Specialist and Inventory Specialist as necessary. * Monitors notifications of online orders and brings product to customer service desk or ships directly from store based on SOP. * Safely loads merchandise into customers' vehicles as requested. * Completes daily tasks as assigned by store leadership or department supervisor. * Powers up store displays daily when opening the store and turns them off when closing. * Performs clean and bright duties as outlined in SOP.
