Overview

Tracks and monitors the flow of all products and pallets from the 5th Floor, ROP Dock, or any outside vendors to their destination (i.e. trailers, storage, etc.) via WMS. Responsible for accurate truck loading and for ensuring scanning compliance.

Provides technology support for all operations within the Transportation Department, supports all technology issues with Contractors, and assists with executing the automation of processes in Transportation.

Oversees preprint inventory management for Freedom Center Receiving department. Monitors the timeliness and accuracy of preprint deliveries to meet production deadlines, oversees product quality checks, resolves unknown or blind receipt of stock to minimize production downtime and works with internal and external parties to facilitate resolution of product deficiencies or surplus.

Responsibilities

  • Runs the WMS Station

  • Monitors WMS and Ominzone for production flow and product location

  • Monitor sequence of truck scheduling and assign dock doors based on 2nd Floor and 5th Floor production flow

  • Navigate and search inventory balances

  • Monitor over-allocated packages and de-allocate the quantity when needed

  • Run report for scanning compliance

  • Schedule trucks and trailers in conjunction with parts and press runs

  • Drop sequence of product going on trailer to multiple DC's

  • Check in trailers into dock doors as per production need

  • Re-allocate and de-allocate quantity from system in production for load complete for all docks

  • Ability to Create flags

  • Release partial loads when production is running behind

  • Ensures all products are loaded accurately on trucks (i.e. quantity and packages #'s)

  • Ensure quality and integrity of the all products loaded on trucks

  • Ensure parts are staged at their respective staging areas for oncoming shifts

  • Communicates with the Team Leader any outstanding issues

  • Provides direction to Material Handlers

  • Communicates will all other departments to ensure product flow

  • Able to navigate and search inventory balances

  • Utilize Omnizone to locate product and identify quantity of product

  • Close out trucks when all product is loaded and double check the staging areas for any non-WMS product (i.e. toppers, bags, Trib-local, etc.)

  • Runs reports from WMS

  • Has basic computer knowledge and able to operate Microsoft Office programs

  • Interacts professionally with Drivers and employees throughout the company

  • Provides Transportation/Distribution Handheld hardware and software support

  • Troubleshoots and creates a ticket for Contractor issues that are called in.

  • Set-up HH/Syncronex for new information to be downloaded into the HH.

  • Tests any equipment from Contractors to determine the problem with the device.

  • Sends out any "Damaged/Malfunctioning" equipment to be repaired.

  • Receives and tests any equipment that comes in from being repaired.

  • Place orders for new equipment as requested and approved by managers.

  • Logs all equipment changes into the Asset Tracker Database.

  • Train Drivers and Division Reps in the use of the Syncronex HH and Web Application.

  • Aides in handling commercial client paperwork and delivery preparation fulfillment

  • Creates and updates various distribution department reports

  • Assist Production Planning with creating press and inserting manifests

  • Prepares daily and/or weekly projection reports for preprints on a timely basis (report provides detail for each publication and issue including projected and received quantity by insert, version descriptions, preprint specifications, shortages, etc.).

  • Reviews inventory quantities and compares to production requirements. Investigates, reports on and facilitates resolution of variances through interaction with Preprint Logistics, Production Planning, Advertising, printers and FC production departments.

  • Responsible for insuring that all inventory is effectively and accurately monitored for each issue date to eliminate / minimize product shortages.

  • Proactively identifies product quality issues related to inserts arriving at FC campus and coordinates the communication of issues to team leaders/operations managers, which could potentially impact the integrity of the products being produced.

  • Communicates with related departments regarding product deliveries including scheduling of drivers, product quality issues, etc. Coordinates resolution of receiving issues related to Freedom Center.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a leadership role

  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and/or holidays

  • Ability to lift 30-50 pounds

  • Requires working in an office/warehouse environment and outdoors at various temperatures

  • Must have a valid driver's license

VIEW JOBS 9/14/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-12-13T00:00 JOB SUMMARY: Cylinder Inventory Coordinator will perform duties at medical center customer sites within the Chicago's Hyde Park area managing customer service relationships and handling distribution and inventory of Airgas Cylinders on Medical Center premises. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES: * Maintain cylinder gas inventory par levels in consultation with the customer. * Insure seasonal adjustments to inventory levels. * Place and process orders thru the AirGas.com/SAP system. * Document cylinder gas inventory usages using either Google forms or Google sheets. * Insure the separation of empties from full and in use cylinders. * Rotate all non-specialty gases product every 30 days. * Perform scheduled rounds to maintain par levels at all locations within the facility. * Pickup and return empty cylinders to storage area(s) to insure return to production facility. * Monitor and receive cylinder gas deliveries to insure accurate delivery documentation. * Change out gas/liquid cylinder manifolds at the service sites. * Comply with all applicable facility guidelines and procedures. And all applicable Airgas Standards and regulatory guidelines including, but not limited to: SAFECOR, HS&E, MQCT, CGMP, OSHA, etc. * Complete assigned tasks as per existing procedure. * Make initial evaluations and then obtain proper assistance when confronted with problem situations. * Respond to emergency situation to insure uninterrupted supply of product. * Conduct cylinder audits at specified intervals. * Provide inventory usage reports to the hospital. * Participate with the local accounts payable department to insure accurate billing and timely payment. * Accountable for the safety of all persons, and general public surrounding facilities. Safety is a condition of continued employment. * Actively participate will local safety department to insure hospital personnel properly handle and store medical gas products. * Submit and Good Catch incidents to your manager/customer as they occur. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. COMPUTER SKILLS: * Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) * Knowledge of record keeping and documentation and be able to utilize the AirGas system to place orders and monitor cylinder balances. COMMUNICATION and/or CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS: * Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. * Ability to write routine business reports and business correspondence in English. * Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees and/or customers. * Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. * Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals using the English language. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: * Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. * Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.
