Role Summary:

Responsible for maintaining an accurate inventory for the service shop.

Essential Responsibilities:

In the role of Inventory Control/Material Specialist, you will:

Maintain an adequate inventory of finished goods, semi-finished goods and parts.

Perform material analysis to assure material availability at the need date, keeping low inventory level and high inventory turnover

Facilitate usage of slow moving and obsolete inventory.

Work cross-functionally with sourcing, quality, engineering, and supply chain to identify improvement opportunities and implement successful changes

May supervise team of shipping/receiving and warehouse employees

Release, Pick, and Ship orders in ERP system

Process WIP's, create POR's and IR's

Manage customer property

Monthly Cycle Counting

Oversees logistics for the branch

Handles special projects, as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Associates Degree from an accredited college or university (OR High School Diploma/GED from an accredited school or institution and a minimum 2 years of Inventory Control Management Experience)

Minimum 6 months of Inventory Control Management Experience

Desired Characteristics:

Strong organizational skills

Excellent communication skills
3 years experience with Microsoft Office products

In this role you will perform assignments as directed by the Service Manager and Branch Manager, plus other assignments as required. You will work effectively with other work groups: EHS, Sales, Maintenance, other Personnel and Management. Essential Responsibilities: In the role of Field Support Specialist - Crane Operator you will: Under the direction of the Service Manager and Branch Manager, perform a number of tasks associated with the delivery, rig-up / down of equipment & tools and related equipment in the shop, yard or location Perform duties which may involve some technical elements but primarily focused on the delivery and installation of equipment / machinery / systems Play a role in hands-on and directly manipulate equipment, machinery or systems requiring precise instrumentation / operation Be trained in operating more than one type of equipment or combinations of equipment / processes (level is determined by competency development program) Conduct field quality work to ensure GE policies and procedures are being adhered to in their entirety Be familiar with all services provided by GE Pressure Control in order to accompany and train current employees as well as newly hired employees Ability to safely deploy to assignment locations – onshore locations with limited access to medical care, which may require 4 hours (or more) travel time to reach secondary level medical care Qualifications/Requirements: High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution Minimum 1 year Oil & Gas or Mechanical experience Possess and maintain a valid Class A driver's license and DOT health card To the extent that you are applying for a position that requires you to operate a GE owned / leased or rented vehicle for company business, you must be willing to submit to a check of your driving record Be available to work on-call, overtime, weekends and holidays, as required Work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities Be in the shop environment a minimum of 8 hours per day, primarily standing and sitting, as required Lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
