Description

VWT Inventory Control is responsible for maintaining accurate records of all inventories via a computer system to ensure that the proper amount of inventory is available, and all orders have been shipped and received. Accounts for all defective or damaged products and follows with appropriate corrective actions. Assures that product and materials in the warehouse are used in an efficient manner and that shipments are prepared in accordance with company specifications.

Requirements

• Must be able to use the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to keep inventory control, locate products and set up of new items.

• Must reconcile inventory stock levels and communicate variances to management.

• Must be able to lift and move cases of product from one location to another.

• Must support, prepare and execute physical inventories.

• Must monitor aging products and identify what product must be processed as soon as possible.

• Must pay attention to detail.

• Must conduct physical inventories and cycle counts as required and make adjustments as needed in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).

• Must be able to count accurately and do simple math.

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Must have a friendly, courteous attitude, and provide extraordinary customer service.

• Must exhibit a responsible, professional, and positive attitude towards the job, co-workers, and customers.

• Must have a positive attitude, towards safety, and be committed to follow all health and safety regulations and/or polices to ensure the well-being of oneself, fellow team members, customers and vendors.

Required Experience

• Required Experience:

• Must have 1 to 3 years' experience in Logistics/Warehousing Inventory.

• Must pass the Material Handling Equipment Certification

• Basic operational use of standard office equipment (computer, printer/fax etc.)

• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)

• Preferred Experience:

• Experience working in a Food/Warehouse Distribution environment

• RF and/or Voice Technology experience a plus but not required.

• Language:

• Basic understanding of English language; reading, writing and speaking.
