Position: Inventory Control Supervisor

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise inventory control staff responsible for auditing, monitoring and reporting on inventory management processes related to Ingram Micro Mobility owned and consignment inventory

  • Managing cycle counting function

  • Internal and external operational inventory reporting

  • Responsible for operational processes as they relate to the generation of inventory transactions

  • Scheduling and managing customer physical inventories and related reporting

  • Assures cycle counts are completed and monitors system to report inventory accuracy

  • Maintains cycle counts schedule

  • Research both pick and store discrepancies to determine root causes of problems

  • Individual must have strong leadership, project management, and general management abilities.

  • Individual must have strong problem solving skills.

  • Previous supervisory experience in warehousing or distribution.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook).

EDUCATION or EXPERIENCE:
2 year degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. Operational inventory experienced preferred.

Employee will spend time in both an office environment and production/distribution warehouse environment. While performing duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work area is usually moderate.

VIEW JOBS 8/24/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-11-22T00:00 Job Description POSITION SUMMARY: Operate machines completing one or more processes toward the manufacturing of exhaust pipe assemblies and components. Perform as an active team member in supporting and performing all the tasks within a cell group. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Perform as a team member of a cellular operating group, which requires the ability to learn, perform preventative maintenance. Set-up and operate machines and to be able to rotate to all workstations within each cell. * Employee must be able to handle materials and tools, operate machines, assemble and inspect all product of varying shape, sizes and weights. * Employee must perform the above within acceptable quality, quantity, performance and safety standards. * Perform safety checks and preventative maintenance on each machine to assure machines are in safe working condition and complete daily safety check-off lists. * Maintain station control of operations, which includes machine parts to specification, inspect parts to assure the quality standards are met, identify production and quality problems and assist Team Leader with problem correction. * Employee must perform his/her job within acceptable safety, environmental, quality, productivity and performance standards as outlined in plant policies, handbooks and applicable work instructions. * Overtime as required/requested. ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Follow machine repair procedures if breakdown occurs. Complete basic repairs and adjustments of minor problems. Report all machine problems to Team Leader and/or Maintenance. * Perform SPC, visual and gauge inspection, and complete charts and required forms. * Clean the machine and surrounding work area. * Operate machines as assigned to assist co-workers at other workstations as needed. * Perform or assist in part changeovers. * Assist in 5S advancement * Assist in implementation of Lean principles.*This list may not be all-inclusive and may include other duties as assigned by the supervisor. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: * Employee must have high school diploma or GED. * Ability to read and understand general paperwork, work orders, machine manuals, directions, charts and safety regulations. * Mechanical aptitude to operate machines and the ability to perform basic preventative maintenance and minor repairs * Basic math skills * Ability to follow directions and flexibility to respond to problems and changes in job assignments. * Ability to work well with others * Ability to learn and perform all jobs in assigned Cell group and rotates to each workstation as needed. WORK ENVIRONMENT: * High noise levels * Varying temperatures (hot to cold) * Fumes at welding stations * Confined work space * Buffing/grinding dust in some areas * Wet slippery floors in some areas PHYSICAL DEMANDS: * Extensive standing, walking, upper body twisting, arm and hand motion, some foot motion * Manual dexterity * Manual movement of pipe throughout machining process (15 lbs.) * Ability to lift up to 50lbs required * Good visual acuity * Frequent skin exposure to chemical-based fluids such as coolant, drawing compound, lubricating oils, etc. Tenneco Internal Jeffersonville IN
