Responsibilities

  • Equipment data input (stock), and communicate with assigned team members on related equipment identification techniques

  • Perform daily cycle counting

  • Produce various analytical reports to help improve overall Distribution Center product quantity along with reducing inventory shrinkage

Qualifications / Education

  • Moderate proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel

  • Proficiency in Great Plains is a plus

  • Background in auditing and inventory control is required

  • Basic understanding of accounting, receiving, and purchasing required

  • A minimum of high school diploma required

Skills

  • Must independently complete multiple tasks in a fast paced and deadline driven environment

  • Associate must be flexible and able to adapt to consistently changing environment

  • Must be a team player and highly motivated

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and across all levels of the company

VIEW JOBS 9/10/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-12-09T00:00 Summary: The Warehousing function falls within the Supply Chain department, which is responsible for setting and implementing polices relating to customer order processing and management of materials for the facility. The department effectively and efficiently directs the Materials Management functions to ensure that corporate manufacturing and quality goals for Operations are met. Manage the customer order processing, materials planning, procurement, scheduling, inventory, warehousing, shipping and receiving operations. Develop and implement appropriate systems and controls to cost effectively manage the existing operation and meet the needs of a growing organization. Supervises and trains the Material handlers and Inventory Controllers to support plant operations, product shipping, and component receiving to ensure inventory accuracy and timely supply of materials to production rooms to meet customer demands. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Perform and report customer inventories upon request and as scheduled by customers. * Perform scheduled and as needed cycle counts of inventory in warehouse. * Research and reconcile book/system to physical inventories on hand. * Perform inventory cycle counts as required by DEA for controlled substances. * Perform inventory and arrange controlled substance samples and rejects for shipment, using 222 Form. * Perform Quarantine area cycle counts monthly and provide information to Front Office to determine disposition of quarantined items. * Work closely with warehouse operations and other departments as needed. * Responsible for cycle counting and inventory accuracy. Ensures that inventory discrepancies are researched and resolved timeously and that root cause is identified, communicated and fixed. * Key metric here is: * Inventory accuracy * Number of inventory adjustments * Manages the Inventory Controller(s) who are responsible for cycle counting and inventory discrepancy * resolution. * Enforces all warehouse systems processes and procedures. * Enforces all warehouse systems processes and procedures. * Ensure assignees adhere to ALL SOPs, Human Resource policies, Department Guidelines, OSHA/Safety practices, GAAP and CGMP. * Manage the day-to-day assignment of job tasks and monitor completion of required activities. Assist subordinates in the creation of personal goals and monitor performance. * Assume a leadership role within the department to create a positive atmosphere and maximize efficiencies. * Supports projects and miscellaneous activities as deemed appropriate by management. * Ensure that activities stay within the budgetary guidelines * Identify and initiate projects for facility improvements within the guidance established * Produce/Support engineering documentation efforts * Ensure planning and tracking of all assigned projects * Provide specifications and cost estimates for major equipment acquisitions * Assure that facility engineering drawings and associated documentation (including work orders and ECOs) are effectively and compliantly completed, updated, and maintained * Other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Manufacturing, one of the sciences or equivalent relevant education and experience. Ten years' directly related leadership experience in pharmaceutical industry. Fifteen years of experience preferred. Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write clearly. Ability to speak effectively. Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply basic math concepts. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Computer Skills: Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Access, as this individual will perform work within these systems on a routine basis. Other Skills and Abilities: * Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written * Ability to organize time in order to successfully manage multiple projects and priorities * Ability to read, understand, interpret and implement technical writing and instructions. * Effective inter-personal relation skills, while maintaining the adaptability to achieve company goals * Verbally expresses ideas and facts in a clear, logical, concise and in accepted grammatical style.
