Overview

A City Gear Inventory Control Manager is responsible for supervising all activities related to inventory control. The main objective is to ensure all product is properly stocked, priced, labeled, shipped and received in order to meet the needs of the customers and store. Additional responsibilities include contributing to the profitability of the store by executing all company inventory control efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for receiving and shipping of merchandise, and ensuring all items are properly accounted for by resolving and communicating issues

  • Reconciliation of store-to-store transfers by monitoring the report

  • Pull and completing transfer request in a timely

  • Backroom organization and

  • Develop a plan of action to control and stock

  • Ensure all markdowns are completed timely and accurately throughout the

  • Ensure all footwear is on display and priced

  • Review and follow up on all ASN Vouchers communicating with management daily any unreceived items according to company

  • Complete Return to Vendor

  • Responsible for other responsibilities/duties assigned by store manager including sales and customer service.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required

  • Excellent communication skills both written and

  • Great organization skills ability to manage multiple projected and prioritize them

  • Train entire staff on operational excellence and maintain an organized and orderly work environment.

  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic with the ability to complete work on time with consistent attention to

  • Ability to spend up to 100% of the time working, bending, stooping, lifting, climbing, walking, reaching and other physical activities. Must be able to lift 30 pounds

This includes researching reasons for inventory discrepancies, directing product rotation and outside storage, and quality control. May coordinate all recalls and HCAAP Plan requirements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Maintains policy and procedures relating to inventory control. This includes ensuring the accuracy of warehouse inventory, analyzing poor product rotation and maintaining the storage locator system. Where applicable, coordinates outside storage for movement to inside storage. * Investigates inventory issues such as non-branded quality control complaints, sales and customer product complaints and reasons for out of date product. * Makes adjustments made to inventory. * Ensures that compliance with HACCP and other government policies are followed. * Audits receiving and stocking procedures to ensure that policies are followed. * Reviews daily inventory discrepancy reports. RELATIONSHIPS Internal: The incumbent is required to interact with employees at all levels of responsibility throughout the company in a professional manner. External: The incumbent is required to interact with customers in a professional manner. QUALIFICATIONS Must be able to work in a refrigerated environment 35°F- 45°F or in the warehouse where temperatures could get up to 95°F. Must be able to work for periods of time in a freezer environment -10°F to +10°F with company provided apparel. Finish time is when work is completed and could require overtime with or without notice. Education/Training: High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Related Experience: A minimum of 1 year in warehousing, sales or product knowledge required. * Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Understanding of HACCP Compliance and inventory control procedures preferred; Must understand distribution process; have basic computer skills; excellent math skills, strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to lift 10-100 lbs. frequently.
