Position Overview

As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will complies and maintains records of quantity and type of merchandise stocked in warehouse.


  • Count merchandise in stock and posts totals to inventory records

  • Compare inventories to office records or computes figures from records such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory

  • Verify clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count, or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies

  • Generate reports such as inventory balance or shortages

  • Prepare lists of depleted items and recommends survey of defective or unusable items


  • High school diploma or GED

  • One year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Preferred experience operating cherry picker equiptment; must be able to successfully complete training.

  • Excellent communication, problem solving, and computer skills are required, along with attention to detail.

  • Ability to do the follow activities: reaching, stooping, climbing, balancing, lifting, pushing, carrying, driving, sitting, handling paperwork, pulling and gripping items over 60 lbs.

Responsible for overseeing department work flow, procedure of vendor and Snap-on product, identifying and resolving department issues and customer services. Leads a staff of 5 – 60 associates. Responsible for on-boarding, training and corrective disciplinary action issues. Responsibilities * Responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy of counts and asset value. * Oversees receiving product, entering into inventory and storing inventory in predetermined locations. * Manage and control inventory stock counting / inventory accuracy processes. * Ensure that inward / stock control is well organized and controlled to sufficiently support production and the goals of the facility. * Ensure incoming product is receipted and managed appropriately according to company process narratives. * Ensure product is available and ready for picking. * Write and maintain accurate written process narratives for inventory control functions. * Motivate associates to obtain quality and productivity goals. * Interact with hourly workforce, management and support staff to optimize continuous improvement processes and operational efficiency. * Lead and manage workforce in a cost effective, efficient and quality conscious manner. * Balance workforce based on daily workload needs with other department supervisors. * Supervise training and development to assure facility goals are met. * Support safety philosophy * Develop, review and maintain performance standards through a variety of measures. * Maintain building contents and associates in a safe and secure manner. * Adhere to company policies, practices and procedures. * Responsible for maintaining procedures and work instructions. * Oversee order processing; pick, pack and shipping functions, when needed. * Maintain and manage tools and supplies necessary for the job. * Issues written and oral communications and/or instructions to associates and the management team. * Provides back up to the other warehouse supervisors in their absence. * Manage workforce according to company philosophy aligned with "Who We Are". * All other duties as assigned.
