Job Description

Primary Function of the Position:

This position will be tasked with providing daily tactical and the facilitation of ISI Cycle Count Programs throughout North America. This position will require strategic vision and insight to all ISI Inventory Control programs governing ISI Finished Goods and Raw Materials stored at either ISI Warehousing or offsite 3PL managed storage sites. Excellent focus and attention to Process Standardization, including DOP and WI creation and updates across the value stream will be key to the success of this position. Development and implementation of Key Metrics and Data Analytics of overall inventory health and Cycle Count performance over this space will be required. Responsibility for the Presentation of KPI/Metrics and Analytics at the Sr Management level with the ability to articulate findings at the granular level as it applies to areas of focus. Ensure all Operational Standards are followed and adhered to with a keen focus on transactional hygiene and system integrity. Perform to and adhere to all Finance guidelines as set forth by internal policies, external auditors, and in compliance with all SOX controls and requirements. This position will interface with our outside auditors leading any scheduled or random audits whether in person or remotely and provide all necessary evidentiary support as required. Close engagement and collaboration with all cross-functional business partners both internal and external with focus on building an efficient and agile network driving common practice and processes across the Inventory Control space. This position will be a key stake holder in any new or existing Warehouse implementations up to and including Raw Material, Finished Goods and NPI materials. This position will part of an advisory committee providing the Inventory Control perspective and requirements for all new Program implementations, Software requirements, PI's and Inventory alignment in SAP within the ISI value stream. Additionally, this position should have a proven CIP focus to drive new process and efficiencies to eliminate waste, improve performance and system integrity across all functional activities as they relate to overall Inventory health. This position will be responsible for Project initiation/implementations aimed at process efficiencies and improved Inventory Health overall.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, train, and motivate personnel to follow all Inventory Control standards and procedures.

  • Design and deliver process standardization.

  • Implement new Cycle Count Strategies utilizing state of the art methodology.

  • Align Inventory Control for all ISI Sustaining and Third-party providers that are responsible to manage our inventory.

  • Prepare and communicate KPI/Metrics analytics bi- monthly/Monthly and Quarterly to both local audiences and those audiences inclusive of cross functional teams and Sr Management.

  • Establish and Conduct prescribed Inventory Control Program(s) at all ISI Stocking locations inclusive of external 3PL logistics solutions.

  • Monitoring and audit responsibility across the ISI value Stream.

  • Review Inventory Health monthly with Finance Teams.

  • Review and measure all E&O opportunity with focus on aged material to be communicated to the broader team on a monthly basis.

  • Track and report all location fiscal value and administer appropriate CC programs as dictated by Finance policy.

  • Engage and provide insight to all Domestic/International Inventory Control Programs.

  • Conduct Wall to Wall Physical Inventories in adherence with Finance requirements.

  • Collaborate across the organization on best practices, program and process development while developing employees to build a world class inventory control program.

  • Maintain data in compliance with SOX and regulatory controls including records for timeliness and accuracy of inventory cycle count.

  • Maintain and execute documented procedures for all inventory control roles and responsibilities.

  • Works with 3PL Partners and Distribution to ensure transactional integrity allows for accurate inventory control.

  • Maintain accurate systematic inventory accuracy to support the production of ISI Value Streams and shipment of materials globally without interruption.

  • Ensure all FIFO, Batch tracked, Date and/or temp sensitive materials are tracked and surveilled on a routine cadence.

  • Visualize, Conceptualize, and implement strategic value-added projects as it relates to Inventory Control and Warehouse practices.

  • Improve Inventory Control current processes with modern, state of the art methodology.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully drive and implement Inventory Control Operations in a fast-paced environment.

  • Track record of cross-functional collaboration and achievement in a globally diverse organization.

  • Inventory control and cycle count experience, utilizing a Warehouse Management System.

  • Significant computer experience including MS Office products and ERP systems, Agile and SAP/S4Hana/EWM knowledge preferred.

  • Ability to research, analyze, and makes recommendations for the resolution of job-related issues.

  • Ability to develop and deliver verbal and written instructions from routine to complex in nature.

  • Ability guide a cross functional team while driving moderate to complex projects in order to drive inventory control alignment across Intuitive.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Understanding of Kanban systems, continuous improvement and lean practices preferred.

  • The ideal candidate will have a love for a fast-paced and multi-focused work environment.

  • Lean manufacturing/materials implementation and use of kanban practices, Six Sigma background and knowledge is also highly desirable.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Possess exceptional organizational skills to meet deadlines, assist staff in prioritizing work and handle multiple projects.

  • Must be able to apply sound judgment and decision-making skills in dealing with a variety of routine issues.

  • Works with minimal supervision in a cross-functional setting.

  • Experienced with organizing unstructured data to support proposals or operational plans.

  • Technical Publication creation and editing.

Required Education

  • Minimum BA degree or an equivalent of 10+ years of experience working in an inventory control capacity where the environment is associated with a production facility and /or distribution warehouse leading project teams.

  • Lean manufacturing/materials implementation and use of kanban methods, Six Sigma

  • Significant computer experience including MS Office products and ERP systems, Agile and SAP/S4Hana/EWM/Tableau reports knowledge preferred.

  • APICS CPIM and/or CSCP certification preferred.

Working Conditions

  • 25% Travel required.

  • Work involves working in Warehouse environments consisting of rapidly moving conveyance equipment, less than optimum lighting and adverse temperature variations and conditions

  • May require stooping, lifting, reaching in performance of daily tasks.
