Inventory Control Manager

Job Summary: Manage inventory through databaseand maintain levels required on a daily basis to meet production demands. Design and execute strategies and plans tomeet short-term and long-term supply chain management goals and inventorycontrol requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a supply chain management infrastructure.

  • Monitor inventory levels daily. Maintain accurate records in order to attain balanced stock levels.

  • Perform regular inventory cycle counts to ensure overall inventory accuracy.

  • Work with the COO on future stock orders. Make recommendations based on price, rebate programs, and historical and forecasting data.

  • Monitor all inventory items and notify appropriate personnel when items are discontinued.

  • Prepare monthly reports for cycle count and pick-lists counts for monthly highlights.

  • Work with the Purchasing department personnel to maintain an up-to-date and accurate parts database.

  • Coordinate year-end inventory protocols.

  • Work and communicate with other departments to ensure steady production flow.

  • Become proficient and trained in all aspects of the S/R/W department.

  • Utilize personal protective equipment as required for personal safety.

  • Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment.

  • Perform job consistently within established performance standards.

  • Is flexible and willing to work the necessary hours to meet deadlines.

  • Otherduties as assigned or dictated by the needs of the business.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Inventory and/or Supply Chain Management degree required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Proven leadership and decision-making ability.

  • Responsible, with a strong work ethic.

  • Microsoft office proficiency.

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, interpret orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Application of basic math skills, such as add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standard situations.

  • Ability to identify potential bottlenecks in the production process.

  • Ability to identify potential projects throughout the supply chain.

  • Ability to communicate and present in front of multiple groups.

Specific vision required by this job includes close vision, distancevision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
