What You Will Do

The Inventory Control Manager role is a newly created role to support the complex data infrastructure and documentation control needs. Reporting to the Director of Operation process and systems, this is a versatile role offering exposure to many parts of operations planning, supply chain and manufacturing. To succeed, the ideal candidate will need to develop and manage master data management processes and governance thereby improving quality and maturity of the enterprise data to meet overall business needs. This person will be responsible for building a small team of experts to manage and oversee any inventory accuracy issues to actively trace, diagnose and resolve any EDI related transaction issues. This will need very close collaboration with the IT team in developing and managing tools needed to perform the job duties.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Work as a liaison between various cross functional teams towards resolving any data related bottlenecks

  • Instill and develop a culture of deeper closer data collaboration

  • Ability to do a technical hands-on deep dive into the details of work stream to ensure high quality and on time deliverable

  • You will lead the development and maintenance of tools/procedures geared around master data management and developing reports/dashboards to accurately trace any EDI related transaction failures

  • Ensuring master data integrity across key planning systems

  • Responsible for working with project leads for writing technical, functional documentation and training materials

  • Will complete special projects as needed

  • Will need to do a deep dive into the understanding of inventory management transactions and accuracy in Microsoft D365

  • Manage and create policies around the set up and continuous management of master data related to master planning such Item Master, Bill of Material, Routing, Customer, Warehouse

  • Drive strategic best practices for data management

  • Provide effective and clear communication to various stakeholder groups

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, supply chain, operations or related field

  • 5 years of recent relevant experience in a digital content manager or planning analyst role

  • SharePoint, EDI, SQL, Power BI experience a plus

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products

  • Working knowledge of transaction systems such as ERP and CRM

  • Basic understanding of master and transaction data relating to a manufacturing organization

  • Exposure to supply chain business processes through experience working inside or outside corporate IT (Plant and Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain Planning, Quality Assurance, Customer Service & Logistics)

  • Technically fluent; Extremely comfortable with learning new systems/technology

  • Strong analytical acumen and ability to work with minimal direction

  • Excellent relationship building skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • Ability to manage and mentor team members
