A large supply company is seeking an individual to work in the Shipping Department. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Job Duties:
Unload in-bound steel trucks
Check-in and record steel orders in software program
Put away and organize black steel inventory
Move raw material machines
Move finished parts to staging areas or trailers
Perform cycle counts on inventory items and adjust qualities
Operate forklift and overhead crane


Experience with warehouse processes and handling steel parts is preferred
Must be computer literate
Must be able to operate a forklift and overhead crane
Must have the ability to pay attention to detail

Establish and maintain procedures for controlling inventory. Train other employees to follow inventory control procedures. Investigate inventory inaccuracies to determine root cause and implement corrective action. Make adjustments to perpetual as needed to maintain accuracy of off-site inventory. Prepare daily reports of open jobs, material relief errors, late job reporting, etc. as required. Perform cycle counts of inventory as required. Recommend policies, methods and equipment to improve inventory accuracy. Maintain neat and organized warehouse. Create PO's for outside labor. Establish and maintain locations for all inventory whether in-house or off-site. Assist with identifying and correcting material requirements for bills of material Requirements Job Requirements: High school diploma/GED required Strong work ethic and organizational skills Able to multi-task Must have at least 3 years previous inventory control experience. Have practical experience with ERP systems, perpetual inventory systems, and spreadsheets. Able to safety operate forklift Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to maintain high energy level. Exhibit attention to detail. Must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and follow instructions. Must have a reliable attendance history and good work performance. Must be physically able to perform job duties. Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
