Inventory Control Lead

JOB PURPOSE

Ensure inventory-tracking systems operate at peak efficiency

  • Acting as primary point of contact for Inventory Control systems
  • Accounting for Inbound Rental Equipment Inventory Control
  • Accounting for Outbound Rental Equipment Inventory Control
  • Supervising All Inventory Control placement
  • Supervising a dedicated Inventory Control team
  • Maintaining Work Area.
  • Adding, changing, and replacing Inventory Control systems
  • Miscellaneous Help.

1. ACTING AS PRIMARY POINT OF CONTACT FOR INVENTORY CONTROL SYSTEMS

  • Attend warehouse departmental meetings and report back to department staff
  • Communicating with the dock department about incoming gear
  • Managing of all asset marking staff in department including temporary labor
  • Responsible for informing the supervisor of any departmental issues immediately

2. ACCOUNTING FOR INBOUND RENTAL EQUIPMENT INVENTORY CONTROL

  • Tagging all unmarked returned rental equipment and entering tag data is in NEXUS either by delegation or by personal action.
  • Assign inbound teams and space for each returning order asset marking activity
  • Communicate any issues and any discrepancies in a clear and punctual manner to the VP of workflows or Quality Control Engineer.

3. ACCOUNTING FOR OUTBOUND RENTAL EQUIPMENT INVENTORY CONTROL

  • Ensure all outbound orders include all required barcodes and RFID tags are on all items which have are activated in Nexus, prior to pull date.
  • Ensuring all assets requiring barcodes and RFID tags are 100% completely installed prior to pull date

4. SUPERVISING ALL INVENTORY CONTROL PLACEMENT

  • Be well versed in all marking placement and methods of installation
  • Know the correct process for data entry as it relates to all processes around barcode and RFID asset installations
  • Understand the processes and steps in NEXUS that relate to asset tagging
  • Be responsible to communicate tagging process knowledge along to any employee requiring this information on your team , the operations team or temporary staff

5. SUPERVISING DEDICATED INVENTORY CONTROL TEAM

  • Manage a team of asset marking staff to assure efficient, accurate and highly productive results
  • Coordinate the teams efforts with the operations team when working side by side
  • Have the ability to bring the team together or divide it up across many tasks simultaneously
  • Train new team members how to properly achieve tasks on a consistent basis
  • Always be working to improve the stems accuracy and speed.

6. MAINTAINING WORK AREA

  • Ensure all tools and supplies are returned to proper storage at the end of shift.
  • Ensure rental product is stored in approved ORPL manner.
  • Clean and sanitize workstation daily and common areas as assigned. Remove recycling and waste to appropriate disposal area.
  • Inform supervisor of low stocks of supplies.
  • Ensure storage bins and totes are properly labeled

7. ADDING, CHANGING, REPLACING INVENTORY CONTROL SYSTEMS

  • Accurate placement of each barcode and RFID tag.
  • Work hand and hand with the operations staff to insure asset tag placement completion on time
  • The ability to communicate and manage a crew the proper placement and method for asset markings
  • The ability to drive an efficient process to completion of all items and products
  • Manage asset tag placement at multiple points within the operation to achieve the most efficient outcomes.
  • Submit daily and weekly reports with regard to completion rates as assigned.
  • Ensure all Forklifts and battery carts are parked and charging (if needed)
  • Ensuring inbound, outbound, and prep areas are clean and organized.
  • Help on warehouse projects directed by supervisor
  • In this position have the opportunity to join the Joint Health and Safety Committee.

8. MISCELLANEOUS HELP

  • Ensuring building entrances are clear of snow, ice, and debris.
  • Helping in other departments as directed by supervisor

About The Role: Bowery Farming is seeking an R&D Farm Team Lead to join the R&D Operations team. This role will be the daily link between Farm Operations and Ag Scientists for Bowery Farming's R&D facilities. Working closely with the R&D Team Leads, this individual will interpret experimental requests into actionable workflows and look for opportunities to improve the day-to-day operation through process improvement and compliance workflows. This individual will interact cross-functionally across multiple teams including Agricultural Sciences, R&D Operations, Facilities Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Human Resources.
