What you get to do:

  • Assist the Merchandise Leadership team in all department supervisory capacities including department duty manager responsibilities

  • Oversee the performance of all department ambassadors and leadership while on duty

  • Manage daily department labor to accommodate changing *Resolve all Guest Service matters for the department in a professional and timely manner

  • Provide exemplary service and ensure Merchandise Standards are met consistently

  • Coordinate and execute primary area meetings and consistent communication for all ambassadors

  • Maintain primary area and department cleanliness and visual displays

  • Oversee resolution of stock level concerns and provides solutions on assortment issues, product replacement, and exit strategies. Leads in managing inventory levels, sales rate analysis and pricing issue resolution

  • Supervise department ambassadors, assistant supervisors and supervisors while enforcing and complying with safety procedures and guidelines

  • Responsible for the training and counseling of ambassadors, assistant supervisors and supervisors while ensuring and complying with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards

  • Complete appropriate paperwork and administer appropriate disciplinary action, as directed by Management and/or Human Resources

  • Ensure compliance of Labor Laws with regards to breaks and hours worked per day

  • Ensure the flawless execution of suggestive selling techniques through role modeling the behaviors, as well as observing and coaching all ambassadors

  • Develops and demonstrates operational procedures. Responsible for sales and P&L of assigned locations, direct the day-to-day opening, operating, and closing procedures of the department's business units

  • Trains, monitors and enforces company & department cash handling policies to reduce pilferage, across all levels of leadership and ambassadors

  • Ensures each business unit is maintained to meet company standards regarding housekeeping, safety, equipment upkeep, general location maintenance, fixtures, and overall integrity

  • Establish and maintain a positive atmosphere which ensures the highest level of ambassador engagement, while supporting and demonstrating exemplary guest service

  • Consistently practice safe work habits including the use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), lifting, and reporting unsafe situations

  • Support and demonstrate the SEAS philosophies

What it takes to succeed:

  • At least two (2) years of internal Merchandise Leadership experience with no significant performance deficiencies within that period

  • High School Diploma Required

  • Availability that meets the business needs of the position; including ability to work a flexible schedule, to include nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment; must be able to work independently

  • Ability to possess a high level of problem-solving, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Must have proficient mathematical skills and be able to process monetary transactions with accuracy, specifically an aptitude for retail math is necessary

  • Ability to possess a knowledge of computer programs and databases including Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required, knowledge of MMS preferred

  • Ability to push/pull/lift/carry 50lbs or more on an occasional basis; frequent extensive walking, standing, occasional climbing; work environment varies from indoors in air-conditioned space to outdoor work in all weather conditions (i.e., heat, humidity, rain and cold)

  • Willing to comply with all grooming standards and SEA employment standards

  • Ability to successfully complete all legal, company, and department training requirements to include, but not limited to, passing required tests and certifications within established timelines

  • Willing to comply and ensure all ambassadors comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards
