We are seeking our newest Team Member for our Greensboro Warehouse!!

The Inventory Control Clerk is a Full Time, Regular (Not Seasonal) position.

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • One year of shipping/receiving in a warehouse environment.

  • Ability to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math.

  • Licensed forklift truck, reach truck and order picker operator experience is preferred but not required.

  • Familiarity with software programs such as Word and Excel, or GSuite.

Now... a little bit more about the position:

The Inventory Control Clerk maintains control of all inventory items, cycle counts, and process RMA's. This position works closely with Production, Shipping, and Receiving to maintain the accuracy and availability of the inventory.

Core Responsibilities / Job Essentials:

  • Research, Resolve and Report all Inventory Discrepancies

  • Cycle Count per Navision Cycle Count Protocol

  • Inventory Movements to Consolidate Inventory Bins

  • Processes all RMA's in the Receiving Bin

  • Responsible for resolving inventory issues for items in QA Bin

  • Performs all inventory adjustments as required (per SOP, including Authorized Limits), including Scrapping of inventory

  • Adjust Color Inventory for Consumption in the Color Lab

  • Handle Material for Production on an as needed bases

  • Managing all inventory recalls and defects

  • Manage all Bar Codes and Bin Locations Systemically (including Printing/Labeling)

  • Assist receiving containers (physically unload containers)

  • Other tasks as assigned

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a warehouse environment. This role routinely uses forklift and pallet jacks to move freight in and out of trucks and throughout the warehouse, as well as using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand for long periods of time; walk; reach with hands and arms and lift heavy objects.

This position reports to the Inventory Control Supervisor. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: * Maintains and updates inventory records * Creates efficient and accurate inventory management procedures * Performs all daily activities necessary to maintain effective inventory management procedures * Reconciles inventories to book records and make adjustments when necessary * Coordinates the annual physical inventory procedures * Implements a loss prevention program * Recommends programs to improve the management of inventory * Plans and implements a recoup program to ensure all damaged/defective product is accounted for and properly handled by either dumping, salvaging or returning to stock * Maintains records to accurately track recouped product and return saleable product to stock * Supervises the inventory quality and accuracy assurance programs, including weekly and monthly reporting * Conduct search to locate products within the system, as necessary * Adjust records when there are discrepancies between actual product and records * Ensures corrective measures to prevent discrepancies * Develops a program to audit returns and move returned product to its proper location * Processes documentation to generate a prompt credit transaction * Performs weekly cycle counts and adjusts systems as necessary * Develops a program to maintain tight security over the inventory * Maintains accurate inventory records to help facilities shortage detection * Maintains confidentiality of inventory records to authorized personnel * Develop all necessary reports and documentation to facilitate accurate inventory counts including records of all audits, counts and adjustments * Complete and issue all necessary records and reports including filing invoices and maintaining customer records in a timely and accurate fashion * Communicates and coordinates with customers regarding timing of physical inventories * Coordinates with Customer Service Representatives, Supervisors, and Warehouse Supervisors to establish cut-off dates * Performs duties as instructed by management Requirements: * High School diploma or GED required * Performs duties as instructed by management * At least 1 year experience in similar position * Computer applications experience using MS Office * Excellent oral and written communications skills * Excellent analytical and mathematical skills * Excellent customer service skills Other: * Must be able to work in environments with variable noise levels, lighting conditions and temperature variation and able to access all areas of building without limitations. * Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time * Must have no issues with heights. * Lift and move totes up to 50 pounds. * Regular bending, lifting, stretchi NFI Industries Greensboro NC
