We are seeking a highly organized inventory control clerk with a strong background in inventory control of electrical, pneumatic, and stainless-steel components as well as shipping and logistics that will lend themselves as a valuable team player to our customer-focused parts department.
Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards
Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors
Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas
Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment
Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities
Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment
Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors
Dispose of damaged or defective items, or return them to vendors
Drive company vehicles in order to pick up incoming stock or to deliver parts to designated locations
Prepare and maintain records and reports of inventories, price lists, shortages, shipments, expenditures, and goods used or issued
Purchase new or additional stock, or prepare documents that provide for such purchases
Recommend disposal of excess, defective, or obsolete stock
Confer with engineering and purchasing personnel and vendors regarding stock procurement and availability
Prepare products, supplies, equipment, or other items for use by adjusting, repairing or assembling them as necessary
interface with ERP system to generate BOM's and shop orders
Familiarity with various supply chain management systems and measurement tools to ensure shipping efficiency
Aware of new trends in logistics processes and real-time inventory management
Trained in production scheduling, purchasing materials or services, and delivery of materials to production consistent with established schedules
Proficient with computers and variety of software (M-Suite includes 365, Dynamics, Word, Excel, & others).
Strong skills in change management, problem-solving, customer orientation, & team leadership
3+ years' experience of stockroom management in a manufacturing environment
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience (preferred)
Microsoft Dynamics GP of at least 1 year preferred
Continuous Improvement Planning
Shipping/receiving, packaging for shipments with common carriers, UPS, DHL FedEx, etc.
Able to lift/carry up to 70lbs
