We are seeking a highly organized inventory control clerk with a strong background in inventory control of electrical, pneumatic, and stainless-steel components as well as shipping and logistics that will lend themselves as a valuable team player to our customer-focused parts department.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards

  • Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors

  • Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas

  • Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment

  • Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities

  • Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment

  • Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors

  • Dispose of damaged or defective items, or return them to vendors

  • Drive company vehicles in order to pick up incoming stock or to deliver parts to designated locations

  • Prepare and maintain records and reports of inventories, price lists, shortages, shipments, expenditures, and goods used or issued

  • Purchase new or additional stock, or prepare documents that provide for such purchases

  • Recommend disposal of excess, defective, or obsolete stock

  • Confer with engineering and purchasing personnel and vendors regarding stock procurement and availability

  • Prepare products, supplies, equipment, or other items for use by adjusting, repairing or assembling them as necessary

  • interface with ERP system to generate BOM's and shop orders

Prerequisite Skills

  • Familiarity with various supply chain management systems and measurement tools to ensure shipping efficiency

  • Aware of new trends in logistics processes and real-time inventory management

  • Trained in production scheduling, purchasing materials or services, and delivery of materials to production consistent with established schedules

  • Proficient with computers and variety of software (M-Suite includes 365, Dynamics, Word, Excel, & others).

  • Strong skills in change management, problem-solving, customer orientation, & team leadership

Prerequisite Experience

  • 3+ years' experience of stockroom management in a manufacturing environment

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience (preferred)

  • Microsoft Dynamics GP of at least 1 year preferred

  • Continuous Improvement Planning

  • Shipping/receiving, packaging for shipments with common carriers, UPS, DHL FedEx, etc.

  • Able to lift/carry up to 70lbs

They monitor all aspects of inventory processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiencies andproductivity. Key Responsibilities: * Drive, assist and manage stocktakes and counts * Assist with annual inventory counts including pre-counts * Ensure transfer cut-off dates are adhered to * Follow up on daily stock delivery discrepancies * Control manual transfer forms, write-off forms, delivery discrepancy report. System input of location-tolocationtransfers * Audit, process, sort, count and transfer out merchandise for pending Reverse Logistics (RL) and Inter-DivisionTransfers (IDT) * Maintain and provide clearance of invalid SKUs * Follow up on Inventory accuracy systems and procedures, i.e. GWPs, promotions * Provide consistent feedback on ways to streamline systems currently in place * Verify and distribute processing documents to WSSC * Process Direct Store Delivery (DSD) shipments received at the stores and warehouse (cross-dock) * Review, maintain and process Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) shipments; balance warehouse inventoryregularly * Distribute uniforms stocked in warehouseLocation specific requirements, if applicable: * Manage all Spirit/Wine/Tobacco (SWT) breakages * Process write-offs & manage Did Not Turn Up items (DNTUs) * Oversee maintenance of vendor UPC barcodes * Monitor outstanding shipment acknowledgement, follow up with Logistics team to ensure completion ofbooking process * Forecast and ordering of Security Tamper-Evident Bags (STEBs) * Manage pre-order release function and review outstanding pre-ordersOther * Comply with company policy and procedures relating to inventory management * Comply with all audit requirements * Actively support and comply with all health and safety policy, procedures and regulations * Adhere to company dress standards and punctuality * Perform other duties as requested in a diligent and conscientious manner Key Requirements: * Educational Requirements Secondary School or High School Diploma or equivalent * Work Experience 2-3 years inventory or stock control experience * Licenses / Certifications * Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer applications * Fluency in English language and other language(s) as required by locationOther Qualifications / Core Competencies * Accuracy and attention to detail and number * Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to work well with personnel at various levels * Must have strong communication skills, both oral and written * Function as a resourceful and proactive team member * Able to work independently with minimal supervision * Strong organizational skills * Must possess a positive attitudeWorking Conditions / Environment * Able to work flexible hours and shifts, including weekends, nights and holidays as required by the needs of thebusiness * Able to work additional hours, as needed DFS Group Ltd.
