The Inventory Control Associate collaborates directly with Team Coordinator and department supervisor to maintain accurate inventory and provide materials to manufacturing floor per a predetermined schedule.

Requirements

What youll do:

  • Pick kits of material for manufacturing
  • De-trash boxes of received materials and put materials away
  • Verify paperwork and packaging of materials, printing required labels and paperwork
  • Receive materials in system by performing computer transactions
  • Move materials to inspection or stock holding areas
  • Work with Purchasing, Engineering or Quality to receive materials when discrepancies are identified
  • Cross train and assist in other areas as needed including: Stockroom, Cycle Counting, Shipping support
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Displays a high-level critical thinking and analysis.
  • Ability to actively follow detailed directions written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated highly motivated strong leadership and teambuilding skills with self-motivation, problem solving abilities, team spirit and a hands on mentality.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication in person, over the phone, email, internet or in writing in a positive and always in a professional manner.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and make productive use of time

Education and/or Experience

  • High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Inventory Control and Receiving experience in the PCBA industry
  • MRP Knowledge and/or experience

Even with Vanguard’s state of the art technology, vast manufacturing capability, and leading-edge information tools, we wake up every day thinking about how best to serve our customers, suppliers, and the communities in which we live.</p><p><strong>What you’ll do:</strong></p><ul><li>Directly manage the receiving and stockroom areas.</li><li>Strategize daily work schedules for the areas and establish daily goals</li><li>Update Excel-based schedules and consistently deliver quality kits to production on schedule.</li><li>Motivate team to create positive team work environment and improve areas/processes.</li><li>Maintain clean, safe and highly organized, clutter-free areas and maintain equipment in good condition</li><li>Interface with other areas to meet delivery schedules and attend NPI meetings </li><li>Reconcile inventory, research, material picking and put-away, cycle count, computer inventory transactions, and receiving.</li><li>Maintain accurate physical inventory, including monitoring of cycle counts and material transactions.</li><li>Operate/maintain materials control system to meet Class a MRP, ISO 9001/13485, GMP, and ITAR audit requirements in a Lean environment.</li><li>Maintain excellent communication with production teams, staff organizations, and customers</li><li>Implement processes, organizations, resources, training, and management controls to meet business requirements and perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>What you’ll need:</strong></p><ul><li>Intermediate proficiency in computer systems, including MRP and Microsoft Office products</li></ul><ul><li>High-level critical thinking, analysis, and organization. </li><li>Knowledge of material management concepts and practices required, including stocking programs, Lean, traffic/transportation procedures, cycle counting, shelf life requirements, and MRP systems.</li><li>Self-motivation, problem solving abilities, team spirit and a “hands on” mentality.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills, both written and oral.</li><li>Communicate in person, over the phone, email, internet or in writing in a positive, professional manner</li></ul><p><strong>Education and/or Experience</strong></p><ul><li>High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent </li><li>3-5 years of stockroom management experience in a manufacturing environment.</li><li>Experience with automating stockroom functions (i.e. barcoding)</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Familiarity with electronics manufacturing, electronics components, and packaging.</li><li>Experience with Lean programs</li><li>ISO 9001/13485 familiarity</li><li>APICS certification or other related degree.</li></ul><p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee uses his/her hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch; talk or hear. The employee uses production equipment.
