SummaryAssociates in the 2nd Shift Inventory Control Department are responsible for item master file maintenance, location master file maintenance, cycle counting, inspections, auditing, pick-face inventory maintenance, incident investigations, cubi-scanning, and special projects as required.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssociates must be able to:
Identify problems in the warehouse inventory
Identify problems in the transfer system, conducts research to determine cause of problem
Recommend and takes corrective action
Perform cycle counts on discrepancies that might occur during the transfer process.
Make the appropriate adjustments to correct locations/on-hand inventory balances
Assist in developing methods and procedures for the effective movement of inventory in the warehouse.
Communicate with operations concerning results of cycle counts, product information and the movement of product if deemed necessary
Help to identify and disposition damaged product in the warehouse
Assist in the returning of product to plant/vendor or scrapping
Provide product information to Team Lead/Supervisor/Manager
Dispose of damaged product in accordance to company policy
Safety operate an order picker, high reach, sit down, and walkie rider equipment
Frequently lift, stand for long periods of time, and walk long distances
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required
Minimum 6 months of warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing experience
Minimum 3 6 months of High Reach and Order Picker experience
Experience with inventory and warehouse software, databases, and systems preferred
Good organizational and time management skills
Must be able to lift 35 pounds.
