Inventory Control Associate


Responsible for performing inventory cycle counts / reconciliation functions for the

KY Warehouse location and any off-site storage locations.


  • Ensures the appropriate training and use of safety devices and power industrial equipment, general housekeeping.

  • Administers a method of cycle counts to control and monitor locations for finish goods / semi-finished goods.

  • Assist with the investigation and root cause analysis of OS&D customer claims.

  • Assist in reconciling LT23 Report weekly.

  • Assist with random Customer order auditing to ensure Picking process accuracy.

  • Receipt / process Customer returns.

  • Establishment of inventory schedule / aisles to be counted.

  • Updates Warehouse management personnel with daily cycle count schedule status / results.

  • Work with Inventory Control Specialist to investigate and reconcile all identified inventory discrepancies. Maintain / provide metrics of inventory data. Initiates inventory adjustments for all inventory related discrepancies in a timely manner after the investigation and research efforts have been exhausted.

  • Communicates product shortages to Supervisor / Warehouse Mgr. so that alternative available options are exercised in product substitutions / repack to avoid customer backorders.

  • Work in accordance with all company policies and procedures regarding safety, quality, product safety and legality, security, and regulatory compliance as applicable.


  • High School / GED education.

  • Ability to learn SAP

  • Strong computer skills

  • Proficient math skills in units of measurement and multiples, divisions, additions, subtractions.

  • Physical ability to perform essential functions of the job

  • Dependable team member who is flexible that can work necessary time for business requirements.

  • A personal value system encompassing a strong work ethic, integrity, and stability

  • Ability to read and understand the English language for the purpose of comparing and reading product descriptions, names and bin locations, as well as its numerical system with regards to unit of measure.

  • Strong computer skills.

  • Strong analytical mind for investigating contributors / root cause analysis

  • The ability to work in Sabert's culture, which is fast-paced and requires it's team members to be flexible with changing customer demands

  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Ability to work independently or in a group setting


  • Indoor work environment with both hot / humid or cold temperature changes based upon seasonal climate

  • Will work around moving machinery such as power industrial trucks

  • Must wear steel toe shoes and other Personal Protection Equipment as specified by management personnel

  • Extensive standing / walking while assigned to various warehouse operational task and assignments.

  • Heavy Work : Ability to continually lift / grasp / reach product weighing up to 50 pounds

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for working with the company's supply chains to make sure that inventory on shelves are accurate. The Inventory Specialist will also perform inventory checks, cycle counts, quality checks, and random counts on inbound freight to ensure accuracy.
