Job Description
The Inventory Control Associate will work onsite at our Sanford manufacturing plant Mon-Fri and be responsible for:
Inventory Accuracy
Lead all departments to schedule and execute cycle counts in the Sanford warehouses and production facility.
Lead efficient and timely reconciliation as well as root cause analysis of cycle count processes and results.
Identify and implement process improvement opportunities related to cycle counts, inventory variances, transactional accuracy, material flow, and training needs.
Collaborate with Production supervision to align resources to execute efficient and accurate cycle counts.
Create, implement, monitor, and improve metrics relating to cycle counts, transactional, and inventory accuracy.
Responsible for creation and documentation of work instructions and SOP's for SAP transactions and cycle count processes.
Main point of contact and reconciler for over shorts and under shorts
Keeps accurate measure of warehouse capacity
Manages Fed-Ex needs of facility
Training
Create, implement, and lead training for all Material Handlers, Shipping/Receiving, and Warehouse personnel (~25 hourly associates).
Selects or develops teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials and reference works.
Analyze ERP transaction history to evaluate effectiveness of training and determine future needs.
Reports on progress of employees under guidance during training periods.
Maintains trainee personnel records.
Create, implement, and lead new hire orientation training, and approval for SAP access.
Create, implement, and lead training for cycle counts and inventory processes.
