TITLE: Inventory Control Associate

REPORTS TO: Inventory Control Supervisor, General Manager, or Assistant General Manager

WORK SCHEDULE: Flexibility in scheduling; early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays required; may include overnight shifts.

SUMMARY:

The Inventory Control Associate oversees receiving and processing freight, executing new planogram sets, and driving item replenishment. This Team Member will provide excellent customer service and an experience that exceeds customer expectations.

The individual in this role is responsible for completing assigned activities on the sales floor, in the stockroom and/or the front end. Team Members often work in multiple areas of the store during each shift, therefore flexibility is crucial. Additionally, this position may also handle recovery, ringing register and light cleaning duties.

  • Receive and process freight to the sales floor within stated goal of 24 hours.

  • Responsible for executing new planogram sets as directed.

VIEW JOBS 8/31/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-11-29T00:00 The Inventory Control Specialist supports Wilmington team in all aspects of warehouse operations. Capture in SAP WM all transactions i.e. inventory accounting, goods movement, intercompany transfers, distribution of raw materials to production areas and goods issue to work orders. Receive, inspect, package, store, and ship products in accordance with customer and HQNAW requirements and contribute to continuous improvement. Your Role and Responsibilities: * Master Orientation training, including an understanding of Heraeus, the Safety and Quality Management Systems, principles of Lean Manufacturing as applied at HNQA Wilmington, SAP production order flow, and basic care and handling of quartz glass products. * Receive, inspect, pack, store, and ship products following standard operating procedures, production order routers, and drawing specifications, and refer any doubts to the Supervisor. * Ensure orders are pulled correctly and match-up with work order and pick tickets. Maintain proper rotation of stock utilizing FIFO (First In First Out) and batch management system. * Review open order report & intercompany orders daily; schedule shipments and container Delivery * Make sure all customer orders are shipped in a timely manner with no defects * Physical and SAP transactions for SAP domestic and international shipments. * Plan shipment activities based on forecast production schedule and customer requirements. * Organize and cycle count package supplies – keep sufficient qty. available to ship product at all times. * Enter SAP requisitions to re-stock packaging supplies; ensure no shipment delays due to lack of supplies * Continuously improve all aspects of warehouse functions, for example methods, tools, records, communication and teamwork. Present ideas for improvement to Supervisor for approval before implementing any change. What is required for this role: * At least 2 years prior experience in Inventory Control, Distribution, Warehousing operations or related * High School Education, GED or equivalent * Strong knowledge of SAP Warehouse (WM) or Material Management (MM) modules * Good communication skills to interact with Engineering, Production and Customers. * Proficient with standard Microsoft Office software programs (Word, Excel, Project, Access, Outlook) * Operate company vehicles to deliver product and pick up customer returns and consumable items * Operate forklift according to Company and regulatory requirements keeps certification up to date If you want to do more than make a living, at Heraeus you can make a difference.
