WHAT THIS ROLE LOOKS LIKE:

Under the supervision of the Accounting Manager, this position supports the Inventory and Quality Control operations. Additionally supporting the dispatch team as needed. Lastly, is responsible for supporting and demonstrating the Core Values of Integrity, Safety, Respect, Customer Focus, Quality, Innovation and Financial Success. Performs other related duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Coordinate with yard/plant personnel to perform daily inventory cycle counts.

  • Prepare and manage monthly inventory reconciliation, including finished goods, raw materials, and resale items.

  • Responsible to work with production management team members to ensure inventory accuracy and maintain appropriate inventory levels.

  • Develop and implement a systematic approach for tracking material movement within the yard to optimize space utilization and accessibility.

  • Mandatory participation in all plant inventory counts throughout the year, including weekends.

  • Manage Return Material (Inspect, inventory, clean, re-palletize, re-bundle to return to yard inventory).

  • Communicate material returns status and findings to appropriate sales and production team members.

  • Coordinate the relocation of materials in the yard based on the strategic plans and operational needs of the company.

  • Assist with covering lunch breaks for employees in the guard shack.

  • Assists with creating SAP delivery notes and bill of ladings for all GMB product groups.

  • Process will-call customer orders.

  • Inspect, assess, and report finished pipe in accordance with company quality standards.

  • Maintain daily quality inspections and report on all speed seal units during production.

  • Perform Quality Assurance pipe testing as needed on a regular basis.

  • Jobsite inspection (Observation of crew's work, inspect damaged pipes, photograph for report)

  • Responsible for Construction Field Reports

  • Responsible for Daily Patching Reports

  • Use and read various measuring devices such as scales, micrometers, etc.

  • Follows standard operating and safety procedures.

  • Prepare and present reports; respond to requests for information.

  • Be competent in the use of computer spreadsheets.

  • Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies and ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.

  • All other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time by the company or its designated representatives.

  • Predictable and Regular attendance is required, weekends and overtime as required.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • High school education or equivalent

  • One-year experience laboratory procedures in a production environment

  • On-the-job training is required to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.

  • Must be able to read, speak and write to be able to understand basic instructions and communicate with supervisors and peers effectively.

  • Basic math is required.

  • Must be able to operate a PC and various office equipment/technology

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Must have a valid Driver's License and personal vehicle

  • Predictable and Regular attendance is required, weekends and overtime as required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; Reach with hands and arms; Talk and listen; Stand, walk, and sit.

  • Business travel required up-to 5% on personal vehicle.

  • Occasionally required to bend at the waist; Lift and/or move up-to 50 pounds.
