INVENTORY CLERK I-HC33810 DPT RECEIVING

SUMMARY

The Inventory Clerk I (formerly Receiving Material Handler I) individual performs under immediate supervision pre-established functions associated with material handling from inventory to production, raw material allocation, and daily inventory transaction to meet production need.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Verifies and ensures all jobs and materials have accurate information on the identification tags and the correct documentation has been completed.

  • Pick and accumulate parts / raw material and place it into carts, enter items/work orders into computer and transport parts to appropriate areas.

  • Verify accuracy of process lists, remove and place parts on worktable to attach tags, place back on cart, and move to packer.

  • Operate automatic tag machine to make proper name tag for raw materials.

  • Obtain and affix labels to cartons, band, shrink wrap, and place on skids.

  • Fill out paperwork such as pick lists, router raw material requirement, packing lists, stock locator, and enter into computer system if required.

  • Assist in raw material dimensional verification, lab sample preparation and receiving inspection as directed.

  • Move Raw materials to and from factories and departments as indicated on material documentation.

  • Delivers material samples to Quality Lab for inspection and evaluation when required.

  • Performs stocking and restocking, cycle counting, ensuring that all product and materials has accurate weight and piece count as directed.

  • Review raw materials certifications and lab test results to ensure all operations for accuracy and conformance to specifications procedures and purchase orders.

  • Assists Quality Assurance in raw material database entries, filing and maintenance.

  • Examines contents and compares with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy of incoming shipment

  • Record and report damages, shortages, and nonconforming materials.

  • Secures materials safely on racks, trucks, or any other storage area

  • May be required to operate fork lift truck, unload and load trucks, move materials within and between departments, and store materials in designated locations.

  • Notify and report of all/any mechanical problems with forklifts or any other unusual operating or equipment problems used to perform daily duties.

  • Cross train and fill in with other team members as needed.

  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.

  • Performs and follows all safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.

  • Adheres to all company Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, procedures, and practices

  • Implements and suggests waste elimination initiatives specifically related to the function and department such as recycling opportunities and elimination of paper waste.

  • Responsible for complying with the rules and regulations set forth by Federal, Local, and State government, LISI Aerospace, and HSE Procedures.

  • Responsible for attending all training provided and for adhering to all HSE procedures, policies, and plans, conforming to reporting requirements, and safe operating procedures at all times.

  • Responsible for attending all required meeting.

  • May be required to bring any known or suspected nonconformance for all company procedures or legal requirements to management's attention immediately.

  • Continually seek opportunities to improve our HSE performance by establishing objectives and targets, measuring progress, and reporting our results.

  • Perform other duties that Supervisor as required.

  • Monitor rejected parts bins, weight and record quantity before collecting it for scrapping.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Education and/or Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • A minimum of 2 to 5 years related material and shipping operations experience preferred

  • Proficient in basic computer data entry, Microsoft Office software; and familiar with material handling/shipping database programs

Language Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend written and oral instructions, work orders, pick lists, and short correspondence. Ability to communicate with other associates to share information, solve problems, and train.

Mathematical Skills:

Add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers, including decimals and fractions. Simple reference use of pick and packing lists, confirmations, and location sheets. Use adjustable measuring instruments such as weigh scale and tape measure, where interpretation is required.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of integrated Database software; Inventory software; Manufacturing software; Spreadsheet and Word Processing software.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, licenses, registrations

  • Evidence of "US person" is required under ITAR
  • Requires the ability to obtain a forklift operator's certification.
