What You Will Do

As an Associate with St.

Vincent's Health System-AL, you will have the opportunity to monitor, order, stock, and transport supplies and/or equipment for the organization.


  • Ensures timely delivery of stock/inventory as needed. Maintains storeroom inventory levels and timely removal of expired products.

  • Investigates and troubleshoots inventory issues/problems.

  • Maintains accurate tracking records for inventory. Ensures stock expiration is minimized with adherence to stock rotation guidelines and best practices.

  • Engages customers on a regular basis to ensure good service. This requires professional presence to effectively interact with clinicians, administrators, colleagues, and vendors.

VIEW JOBS 2/15/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-05-15T00:00 Overview Hibbett Sports is looking for an Inventory Management Intern for the Summer of 2020. This full-time position will be located at our Corporate Office in Birmingham, AL. Responsibilities The Inventory Management Intern 2020 will review the current process to fulfill customer orders from available store inventory. After researching & documenting the existing process, provide analytics and recommend best practices on how to improve the process moving forward. The following areas will be considered: * What is being fulfilled: go-forward merchandise or clearance product? * Are there particular items that tend to be fulfilled more online vs. in stores? * Amount of product fulfilled Store-to-store vs. E-Commerce * Is there an industry standard on what level of fulfillment (either in total or as a % of sales) is considered "acceptable"? * Ability to build a report within our Business Intelligence tool to track these metrics: Can we create an exception report that will only flag stores with "unacceptable" levels of fulfillment? * How do we load this information into our other software applications for additional analysis & execution? * Identify where product is being shipped, especially as it relates to other stores. Are there assortment opportunities we are missing based on where we are shipping product? The intern will work closely with the Director of Allocation, as well as the Inventory Management Training Coordinator, to recommend changes to drive efficiencies in the current processes. A formal presentation will be given to management with key takeaways & recommendations. The intern will learn about the Hibbett business model by visiting local stores as well as our Logistics Facility, which plays a big role in the fulfillment process. Qualifications The successful candidate will be a rising Junior or Senior with a least a 3.0 GPA.
