THE ROLE: The Inventory Associate will be responsible for maintaining accurate physical inventory counts. We offer a full benefits package to include 4 WEEKS Paid Time Off (PTO) for hourly positions, health, dental, vision, investment savings plan, and other additional miscellaneous benefits.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Cycle counting, reconciling, corrective action and reporting
Maintaining physical inventory accuracy
Transactions to maintain inventory accuracy within computer system per the cycle count process
Ensure that established policies, rules and regulations (SOX), and procedures are followed
Transporting purchased material from receiving and putting to proper stock location
Transporting finished goods inventory to stock area
Keep work area clean and organized
Follow ISO standards
Provide back-up support for each other and for assigned areas
May be asked to participate in some receiving activities including verification and counting
Run daily and weekly reports to review/resolve material variances
Support engineering changes for inventory impact as needed
May assist in coordinating material in manufacturing
Collaborate and support other members of Operations including Inventory Control Coordinator, Planning, Procurement, Material Handlers, and Shipping/Receiving
Provide training and on-going support to manufacturing team members as it relates to inventory management
Cross train on Material Handler functions, back up team as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
Inventory management and Cycle Count Training as provided by YSI; previous experience in a manufacturing environment desired
Communication and interpersonal skills
Basic math skills
Ability to use computers and software in a variety of functions including keyboarding, word processing, spreadsheets, and e-mail
Organizational skills, work with minimal guidance on daily tasks
Willingness to provide support for other areas as necessary
Ability to multi-task
Work within dynamic environment with customer delivery pressure
Attention to detail
DAY IN THE LIFE:
In this role, the working environment is a production/assembly and office setting, and the physical demands may include but not limited to walking, moving, bending, and lifting of up to 50 pounds.
