Inventory Associates perform inventory tasks at a customer's store or warehouse physically counting merchandise, supplies, products, etc.

VIEW JOBS 8/22/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-11-20T00:00 Position Summary: Utilizing established guidelines and exercising independent judgment, manages inventory control process to support attainment of company financial goals and achieve maximum customer satisfaction. Performs inventory cycle counts, audits picking and receiving for accuracy of shipped product and received goods and monitors inventory variances and discrepancies and makes recommendations for resolution of issues. Essential Functions of the Job: * Assists in monitoring $20 million inventory to ensure that the goal of maintaining variance of less than one percent is achieved. * Performs detailed and precise cycle counts of all warehouse locations in accordance with established guidelines to determine inventory accuracy and reports findings to appropriate personnel. * Reviews and approves all cycle counts for validity prior to adjustments in system. Ensures that recounts are performed when required. * Enters and posts cycle count results to the cycle count programs. * Evaluates and determines "A,B,C" classifications for parts * Assists with internal and external auditors involving cycle count and the reconciliation process. * Helps investigate negative inventory balances, determines root causes, influences corrective solutions, and ensures inventory counts are corrected. * Investigates & monitors inventory problems and potential inventory problems upon request from Purchasing, Manufacturing, Accounting, etc., and analyzes problems to determine root causes. Makes recommendations for corrective action. * Assists the Inventory Manager in resolving receiving, transfer and work order issues. * Verifies the accuracy of W.I.P. (Work in Progress) counts through a physical count and an analysis of work order transactions. * Assists in physical inventories. * Operates forklift truck safely * Performs other duties of similar nature and scope as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's): * Ability to monitor $20 million inventory * Ability to performs detailed and precise cycle counts * Ability to Reviews and approves all cycle counts for validity prior to adjustments in system. * Ability to enter and posts cycle count * Ability evaluates and determines "A,B,C" classifications for parts * Ability to partner with internal and external auditors involving cycle count and the reconciliation process. * Ability to investigate negative inventory balances, determines root causes, influences corrective solutions, and ensures inventory counts are corrected. * Ability to Investigates & monitor * Ability to Assist the Inventory Manager in resolving receiving, transfer and work order issues. * Ability to verify the accuracy of W.I.P. (Work in Progress) counts * Ability to partner in physical inventories. * Ability to safely use and operation of a forklift truck. * Other duties as assigned.
