This position is located in a secure, NAID AAA certified and ISO certified facility, ensuring the highest standards of data security and operational integrity. As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment, all new hires are required to undergo a background check and drug screening prior to their start date. Additionally, to ensure the safety of our team, employees must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times, which will be provided at no cost. Our active warehouse setting presents inherent risks such as equipment operation, material handling, and the need for constant vigilance to prevent accidents.

At Human-I-T, our work environment is dynamic and mission-driven, focused on creating equitable access to opportunities through technology. Our team is engaged in reducing the digital divide by ensuring that devices, internet access, digital skills, and tech support reach under-resourced communities while supporting environmental sustainability by diverting technology from landfills.

Our culture is creative, innovative, and collaborative, where continuous improvement and diverse perspectives are valued and appreciated. We strongly encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds because we believe diverse perspectives create an environment where the best ideas rise to the top.

  • Utilize advanced search techniques on platforms like eBay to gather relevant pricing data.

  • Remove and inventory hard drives or other data-bearing devices from desktop PCs, laptops, and other electronics for secure data handling.

  • Create and apply unique asset tags to each product designated for refurbishment and reuse, ensuring accurate tracking and processing.

  • Understand and identify consumer electronics brands, models, and generations to accurately sort and classify items for inventory.

  • Inventory Management and Data Entry:

  • Enter data accurately into the inventory system to maintain up-to-date records of all processed items.

  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to minimize risk of trips, slips, falls, and cuts, ensuring a safe working environment.

  • Organize products and materials efficiently within the warehouse to facilitate easy access and proper storage.

  • Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhere to established safety standards and participate in regular safety training sessions.

  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) diligently, especially those pertaining to data security and e-waste disposal.

  • Physical Demands:

  • Regularly lift items up to 50 lbs or more, and manage physical tasks that include bending, kneeling, and extensive standing.

  • Collaborate and assist other departments as needed, providing support to ensure smooth operations across the organization and adapting to fluctuating demands effectively.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and organization.
