The Role: The Inventory Analyst will assist with all activities involved with inventory management: forecasting, demand planning, sales patterns, and stocking strategies. This position will be responsible for analyzing and maintaining the inventory parameters to maximize financial performance with inventory turns and working capital, while ensuring proper levels to maintain customer satisfaction and lead-times for CDC and Branch Inventories.


Essential Duties/Principal

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with planning and control of Water Utility and Dewatering inventory investment. Establish inventory budgets, forecasts and analyses for all stock keeping locations. Review and analyze actual performance to inventory budgets. Take necessary action to bring actual performance in line with budget.

  • Monitor Excess & Obsolete inventory, direct and implement corrective action to minimize levels.

  • Develop tools and metrics to simplify inventory reporting and analysis and aid the improvement of inventory performance.

  • Assist with development, documentation and implementation of inventory control processes, and procedures as assigned

  • Oversee the coordination, review and approve all inventory return related activities for all branch locations. Review and approval all customer returns. Prepare and complete excess stock returns to suppliers.

  • Assist with maintenance of control system for inventoried items for all stock keeping locations. Implement inventory planning and control methods/procedures for all stock keeping locations. Develop and document inventory control processes in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. Maintain guidelines for stock levels and status decisions.

  • Coordinate inventory control activities with other company functions impacting inventory control problems and develop solutions to maintain targeted inventory accuracy. ITR's and customer service levels.

  • Research ERP system inaccuracies and correct as needed.

  • Prepare month end inventory analysis reports, forecasts as directed by manager.

  • Prepare inventory budgets, forecasts, and analysis reports per corporate requirements for all stock keeping locations.

  • Replenish inventory for assigned product categories

  • Monitor and lead improvement projects related to OTD performance for all direct shipment, CDC, and Branch shipments

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to develop analytical reports and correspondence, with the understanding of production needs and planning

  • Previous experience managing a function and/ or people

  • Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Project, MSAccess, Excel, Word, Power Point, SQL Database and ERP systems

  • Ability and interest in driving change related to integration

  • An in-depth understanding of STEEB and iScala order entry system and the ability to navigate the system effectively and efficiently

  • Good math, communication (both written and verbal), and customer service skills

  • Great attention to detail and problem solving skills

  • Demonstrated ability and desire to grow in the organization to the next level

Education & Experience

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Technology, Industrial Technology, or Operations) with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in inventory management, purchasing, production control, and/or demand planning.
  • APICS PICS certifications a plus. Proficiency in PC based software, Microsoft suite applications and in depth knowledge of Microsoft Access.

Specialized Knowledge Required - Including any required certificates, licenses, and registrations

  • Working knowledge of US Customs Import Regulatory law desirable.

  • Greenbelt or Leanbelt certified

VIEW JOBS 2/22/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-05-22T00:00 This position will involve all aspects of business customer support, inventory control and accuracy, and analytics-based strategy; which tie into and enhance company success through profitability initiatives. Tasks will include, but not limited to: processing, coordinating and driving inventory accuracy initiatives including assisting with cycle counts and the physical inventory process for Stores, Distribution Centers (DCs) and Fulfillment Centers, review and maintenance of the retail ledger and inventory systems, preparing analytics and reporting, working with business partners on proactive problem solving and prevention, participating in the recommendation, testing, training, implementation, and maintenance of system updates, and completing analysis and initiative-based requests and projects for management. Essential Functions * Prepare weekly/monthly reporting: including physical inventory results, store and fulfillment center cycle counts, and MOS, damage, transfer, RTV compliance and accuracy analytics. * Reconcile book inventory to the physical inventory in stores and corporate departments. * Work closely with stores, fulfillment center, and distribution centers on issues related to RTV'S, MOS, transfers, and lead/participate in improvement initiatives to prevent recurring issues. * Monitor inventory movement between the distribution centers and stores, make corrections as needed, and utilize analytics to drive efforts to reduce recurring issues through systemic and procedural enhancements. * Partner with stores, merchants, distribution centers, account payable and asset protection teams to research and process Purchase Order, transfer, and RTV corrections, and drive efforts to reduce recurring issues through analytics and improvements. * Monitor inventory movement and valuation of merchandise, between stores and the DCs and fulfillment center(s). * Monitor inventory movement, make any needed adjustments, and prepare weekly/monthly reporting around Optoro, a third party used to manage our Ecomm returns. Lead ongoing improvement initiatives. * Monitor, balance, and reconcile transactions between the Fine Jewelry RPC (Ridgeland Processing Center) and Belk retail accounting systems. Drive continuous improvement. * Assist with company initiatives, including IT, distribution centers,, stores, merchant and vendor support. * Ensure deadlines are adhered to that would result in accurate financial and inventory reporting. * Review current processes to identify process improvement opportunities. * Assist in any projects, analyses, initiatives requests made by senior management. * Participate in the preparation and review of SOX controls and third party Audit requests. * Lead pro-active issue resolution and prevention through data gathering, analytics, partnerships with others, and driving strategic initiatives on opportunities identified for continuous improvement.
