Position Summary

The Inventory Analyst position will drive the deployment of demand data and strategic initiatives to manage the flow of materials across the supply chain in a way that maximizes on time delivery while minimizing inventory.

This person will manage multiple complex projects and drive outcomes with optimal results.

The position will require strong analytics to create and implement strategies for continuous improvement.

This person must have an in depth understanding of inventory control procedures and experience within a fully integrated ERP System (SAP knowledge preferred).

This position will require Lean experience and knowledge.


25% of the time: Performs detailed data analysis for inventory optimization in all systems; Legacy System, SAP and Plan For Every Part (PFEP). Presents data in reports and graphs to management.
25% of the time: Maintains demand data company wide to align with defined calculations for inventory optimization. Acts as a power user within the SAP Forecasting and Inventory Optimization tools (DCF, DCC). Identifies opportunities for improved inventory turns. Performs forecast variance evaluation. Manages company wide inventory leveling.
25% of the time: Specializes in the company wide inventory management of key product groups and acts as the point of contact for those specific product groups. Manages centralized inventory management processes.
10% of the time: Point of contact for inventory management issues in all systems (Legacy System, SAP, PFEP). Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Inventory Management.
15% of the time:Gathers and Provides Data for the Sales Inventory Operations Planning (SIOP) Monthly Executive Process. Acts as a key participant in Sales Inventory Operations Planning (SIOP) Monthly Pre Meetings.



  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.

  • APICS CPIM certification preferred.

  • 5 years experience with inventory management and analytics.

  • 3 years experience working within a fully integrated ERP system (SAP with emphasis on inventory and warehouse processes a plus).

  • 3 years experience working with lean principles.

  • Analysis: Ability to analyze and collect data. Ability to make sound business judgments.

  • Leadership: Ability to build consensus amongst one's peers in leadership. Ability to establish an effective, professional, and positive relationship with staff.

  • Software: Microsoft Office knowledge with emphasis on MS Excel.


This job requires travel up to 25% of the time.

Work Status and Location

This full-time, exempt position will be located in Pleasanton, CA or Stockton, CA.


Relocation will not be considered for this position.

Authorizes repair/maintenance expenses and minimizes the time the delivery trucks are out of service. Works with repair shops to prioritize vehicle repairs/maintenance and to keep repair and maintenance expenses as low as possible.
