The Inventory Analyst at MedMen is responsible for the inventory management, KPI reporting & deep-dive analysis of inventory productivity at our retail locations. Typically paired with a demand planner and team of buyers (per state), the inventory analyst will provide data that will drive optimal buy quantities for regular replenishment, promotions and holidays spikes. As this role evolves, the inventory analyst will be allocating product from MedMen distribution locations to the retail stores and provide visibility of those movements to upper management.
Essential Functions

Weekly & monthly KPI reporting on forecast accuracy, in-stock percentages, promo activity, weeks on hand, etc.
Work closely with Buying & Marketing teams to adjust allocations for promotions and seasonality.
Communicate retail stock outages to management and provide tactical resolution.
Provide promotional entrance and exit strategies to key stakeholders.
Participate in planogram walkthroughs with buying team to understand the product mix and why product placement may drive higher or lower sales volume.
Use metrics by location to drive sales through targeted allocations.
Develop initiatives to reduce slow moving inventories and to improve inventory turns.
Provide optimal initial set quantity for new store opening, and drive those orders to hit opening deadlines.
Coordinate with finance to compile reports for monthly, quarterly and yearly financial close.
Support ad hoc project requests from the Manager
Bachelors Degree in finance, business analytics, logistics/supply chain preferred.
Strong background in a variety of inventory management concepts, practices and procedures.
Experience as a demand planner, supply planner, inventory analyst, supply chain analyst or production planner.
Experience in using an ERP system, spreadsheet, database or other software.
Effective team skills.
Strong statistical modeling & forecasting skills
Excellent listening skills.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to create and implement effective processes & procedures.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, highly proficient in Excel (e.g., Excel formulas, V-lookups, pivot tables) and has skill in preparing tables, graphs, and charts.
Must possess a strong results and goal/deadline-oriented work ethic, high attention to detail and be flexible.
Excellent organizational skills, with ability to develop and bring to completion multiple assignments concurrently.
