While working at Caterpillar Inc., you will work in an environment that supports excellence. You will support your team in efforts of continuous improvement. Under limited direction, perform a variety of logistic support activities in the areas of Inventory reconciliation. This job will require a flexible individual who has a detail oriented focus with strong problem solving skills.

This is an hourly position starting at $17.33/hour.

Job duties may include:

  • Review inventory counts

  • Utilize problem solving skills and analyze data to make adjustment determinations (in SAP)

  • Validate material counts in the warehouse

  • Perform Counts

  • Perform RCCA investigations on inventory discrepancies

  • Provide reports on finding for management

  • Perform SLED (shelf life expiration date) audits

  • Issue and Reconcile Bin Cycle Counts in SAP

  • Work with cross functional internal/external teams as well as suppliers and transportation contacts to drive inventory accuracy improvements

BasicQualifications:

  • 2-year degree required in a business-related program including operations, engineering, supply chain, accounting and purchasing. Current enrollment in an accredited 4-year college degree program at a Junior level status is considered equivalent to a 2-year degree.

  • Must have intermediate proficiency (Basic skills/knowledge. Capable of functioning independently) in Microsoft Excel

PhysicalRequirements (with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Ability to sit/stand for prolonged periods

  • Ability to perform repetitive operations

  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs

Topcandidates will also have:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Inventory Control experience

  • SAP software experience with inventory transactions

  • Supply Chain experience

  • Basic problem solving/data analytical skills
