Inventory Administrators are functional experts of parts and materials stocked in the stockroom. This position is in support of Maintenance and Operations by facilitating part availability at the right time, the right place, and at the lowest cost possible.

This is accomplished through the use of standard operating procedures for inventory control, parts receiving and inspection, parts reduction, parts kitting, staging and delivery, proper material storage, parts preventive maintenance, metrics and other activities critical to world-class storeroom operations. This job requires Strong Communication, ManMan inventory management software, MIS software, Excel spreadsheet capabilities, and good interpersonal and Team Building skills to support site objectives.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Coordinate and analyze data necessary to catalogue spare parts within plant standards

As a team member, the individual has direct responsibility and accountability for performance of the stockroom, to include inventory control and management, shipping and receiving, metrics, cycle counts, standard operating procedures, and benchmarking.

Lead effort to reduce inventory stock value and report on a period basis the progress.

Be a resource to plant associates in researching, sourcing and solving problems when searching for specialized parts/equipment which are required for a particular use or machine.

Ensure that complete bills of materials are entered in to the CMMS system so that information concerning work histories, parts usage, and accurate descriptions can be retrieved.

Provide proper inventory controls through established methods such as cycle counting and physical inventories. Assist in implementing continuous improvement stockroom strategies that will bring the greatest return on investment, improve competitive position, and achieve site objectives for the stockroom.

Training resource to increase the knowledge base of operators, maintenance, and team members on existing equipment parts.

Resource for sourcing failed parts from alternate vendors.

Able to operate a forklift.

Able to operate a computer and utilize the basic standard desktop systems (LSS, PSL, MIS, SQCIS, ManMan, etc.).

Understands principles of inventory control.

Has knowledge of the plant's products and goals.

Has general knowledge of Mars & the systems used by the business.

Limit access to secure stockroom areas to ensure parts availability and proper inventory control practices.

As a contributing resource, perform job kitting, staging and delivery to increase maintenance group efficiencies.

Use the 5S activities of Visual Workplace to ensure superb housekeeping activities.

Perform cost and inventory analysis to reduce inventory costs but maintain equipment reliability.

Anticipate and recognize suspected shortages (i.e., shutdown and Capital Project requirements) and actively communicate potential problems to leadership.

Utilize MANMAN computer system to update and maintain item history, vendors and quality information.

Assure all parts meet most current specifications, assure systems are in place to maintain quality parts in stock, assure correct parts are received in accordance with Purchase orders.

Resolve discrepancies with Purchase Orders among Receiving, Accounting and Vendors.

Lead effort to cross reference parts in stock room to equipment.

Review MANMAN & AIDC computer systems for errors and take corrective action.

Arrange for emergency pick-up and delivery for urgently needed items.

Advise the appropriate plant associate of unusually high usage of parts and supplies in order to identify potential equipment problems and/or stock-outs.

Utilize computer system to update and maintain item history, vendors and quality information.

Resolve discrepancies of all inventory items to obtain maximum inventory accuracy.

Ability to maintain stockroom security and safeguard inventory accuracy

Basic understanding of a parts catalog and their use in locating parts by performing adhoc queries using the computer

EDUCATION:

High school degree or equivalent; In-house training required. Completion of certification program may be required.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
3+ years as a manufacturing associate

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Lifting 25 kg.

Possessbasic computer skills, knowledge of simple programs such as Excel and Word
